A 301 redirect question?

    I have just done a 301 redirect on one of my sites because my main homepage is the same as my shop homepage so i have redirected

    http://www.mazoo.co.uk

    to

    http://www.mazoo.co.uk/art/index.php

    Q1. Will my pagerank move across to the new url?
    Q2. Will this affect my serps Positivley or Negativley?
    Q3. Would i still build backlinks to the homepage or the new url?
    Q4. When google updates thier cache will it show the new or old url?

    Nice read but that is more geared towards moving a site to a different domain not moving the sites main index page.
