A $22.01 click

That's right ! I thought something was wrong when checking my earnings I saw them jump from 10 to 33 in about half hour. I checked what generated it and there it was - ONE (!!!) click on one of the forums made $ 22.01 !!! So far my fattest were 1.22 or 1.36 (on other sites). This one blew my mind and I have absolutely no clue which advert generated it ! I wish I knew ! My forum is about biology and usually clicks average 7 cents to 12 cents max and make at the most 10 bucks a month.

So... Now I am a true believer that those expensive clicks do exist.

Funny thing about the CPM though, I still don't understand the corelation between CPM and $$ per click. Here is thre example for this 22 bucks click and another two:

2 clicks CPM: $680.00 $0.68
1 click CPM: $161.83 $22.01

So, why a $680 CPM generates only 68 cents with 2 clicks, and a 161 dollars CPM generates 22 with one click only ? Isn't it supposed to be that the higher the CPM the higher earnings ?

To understand the CPM you have to take pageview into consideration.

Well, it's a pet turtle care forum - the adverts there are always low $$, so this was a freakish one. Sometimes Google places irrelevant ads when the page has little content. I found one that had something related to searching for criminal records (biology related ... ... NOT! ), and this could be it. Not for sure though. It would be nice to have a site that generates 2 clicks a day only and brings 1300 a month though ! ... or few of those ?

ecpm also depends of how meny ad impressions you had, if you had for example 1000 impressions and 1 click worth $0.68 then your ecpm would be $0.68 but if you had 10 impressions and 1 click worth $0.68 then your ecpm would be $68

Congratulations! That is the highest paying click I average about 18 cents a click...the highest one I ever got was about 1.60
