We've all heard of TruthAboutAbs, right? It's has been in the top 10 of ClickBank for years. http://www.cb-analytics.com/product.php?id=mikegeary1 I'm sure we've all wondered at one time or another how much money these top 10 really make. Well.. now we know. FatLoss4Idiots has previously revealed that they do $21m in sales, most of which goes to affiliates, and now the TruthAboutAbs owner, Mike Geary has revealed his product's income. He's actually released a new product himself: http://www.SmallBusinessInternetSecrets.net (I'm not affiliated with this product, and that's not an affiliate link). On the sales page, he includes screenshot proof of his experience - traffic and sales. In the traffic screenshot, you can see the end of the URL - "utabs.com".... as in, "truthaboutabs.com"! A bit further down the page, we see 3 recent earnings screenshots. One of them is not old enough to be TruthAboutAbs, but either of the other two could. They're very similar in terms of earnings, so it doesn't really matter which it is. One account did $1.1m in 2008. The other did $1.2m. Anyway.. it's interesting to see how much a successful publisher makes, and how much traffic it takes to get those sales. And let's not forget, paying 75% commission means that affiliates will have collectively made around $3,000,000 thanks to Mike and his product. That's pretty awesome stuff. Congrats Mike!
The sales page kinda sucks, but the screenshots are extreme.... Almost $3m net yearly...Wow, just wow.
wow..just wow...speechless. What is THEIR secret? As others, i have some products on CB also....but 15o.000 visitors a day..INSANE...insane.... I might want to look into other niches...this is....inspiring....
I was thinking - CENTEMAX (water for gas clone) was almost sold on Sitepoint a while back. I think he reported total sales of $5m, so it looks like perhaps the top 10 products, and almost definitely the top 5 are running at multi-million/year turnover (congrats to Swerd! ) @GeorgR - how do they do it? By having a solid product that converts well, in a niche where there's a ton of evergreen traffic, and providing great resources for affiliates to train them in making regular sales. That, and a little bit of luck doesn't help.
TP, i though a bit about it...the key here is: LOOK what the people want, make a product which DELIVERS exactly this to the people... That guy has a perfect product. YOu can go on google and do some research what people look for, "how to lose weight"..."how to make money"..."how to this and that"....and THEN make the product and throw it in their face. Its all about observing the market and their demands. edit: yep, swerd knows his stuff...
I think those results are pretty good especially when you consider the cost of all deliverables etc.. however in comparison to some of the IM product releases like John Reece and Frank Kern etc who pull in around 2 million in the space of a 24 - 48 hour launch.. makes you think.. yes they had JV partners and lists etc.. but I'm surprised Geary did'nt pull in more.. I would expect there is alot of variance between the top 2 and the bottom 5 though so if Geary's product pulled in 3 million gross at number 5.. I'm pretty sure publishers 1 & 2 would be poulling in 5 - 10 X those figures. Nice spot though.. and yes that sales page for his new product sucks
costs...well..i can tell you i can pull a product out of my *** in a day, if i want. Including book, ecover rendering and sales page. I dont know their product, but a good high quality product for sure requires a bit more than in my example, especially if its a complete training w/ videos and similar. But still....the costs to make this is nothing compared to the earnings. Its ALL about marketing. This is the most important factor.
I'm not a big fan of those e-books but I decided to get it last night because my mentor recommended it. So here are some of the things I already noticed from the e-book just by doing a quick look. -It is written by Gary Nealon And Michael Geary. -It has 91 pages. So far I can't tell you how many chapters it has because the authors didn't provide a Table Content. - There is a chapter about autoresponders( I believe the one I saw was GetREsponse), -Another one about youtube -Google analytics and yahoo -How To pick domains -How To Build Backlinks and so much more Gary also mentionned the programs that he uses everyday( Some of the links you will find inside the e-book are affiliates links) I'm not going to recommend the e-book to anyone yet because I haven't read all of it. But I do know it cost $ 149 and the commission is $100. So, I think most of us here might be able to afford it. Buy it through your link and get $ 100 back. Good luck PS: Swerd, You gave me a copy of your e-book and I did enjoy it. You are doing some great things with E4E but you might want to take a look at this one.
