Hey, I am using www.9mb.com for a webmaster forum with a link directory on it. I am planning to ad more pages, like a webmaster tool page! But now the issue. The forum is almost 2 months old now but I am not sure about the domain name. I used it only because it is short and ppl will remember it.. but is it a good name for a webmaster site that can become big in the future?? or should I change the domain name to something with real words?? I appreciate your opinions!
I like it! I think you should keep it. However... Its not banned by Google is it? -edit- Nikola J It does not have to be. Does del.icio.us have something to do with food? What about digitalpoint? Nothing to do with the forum... etc
I was talking about the search engine. Its just it shows: "Unranked". But it does seem to be indexed so nothing to worry about.
Usually when picking a domain you have to options. Something with keywords for SEO purposes or something that will stick in peoples heads. And 9mb surely does stick in my head.
Yes when i first heard it, i thought that way too. Anyway nomar is a great person and other members also very friendly so i think it`ll be very succesful in the near future.
I think of 9 megabytes when I read it, which is web-related and sticks with me. I don't suggest changing the name.
Short and Catchy, good name imo. But I have to agree with the others, it does give the impression that it may be a free hosting site. But at the end of the day, it's content that'll make the difference - and it seems you're doing a dandy job with that so far, so all I can say is keep it up and good luck to you!
It's not relate to Webmaster as well as not relate to something(for instanceets,shop,finance....etc) It is ok for webmaster forum.
