99k impressions, 22k clicks, and only 7 orders

    From my LinkShare panel:
    98,586.00 Impressions
    21,771.00 Clicks
    0.00% Orders/Click
    0.00 EPC
    7.00 Orders
    $760.55 Sales
    $9.23 Commissions

    How can I improve this? I get tons of traffic. I am not deceptive about the ads: they are clearly ads that will take you to an obvious retailer (ie, Wal-Mart or Amazon). I get lots of clicks, and I can't imagine that nearly 22,000 accidental clicks were made. Some of my advertisers pay paltry sums (iTunes pays about a nickel a song for example), but I have many advertisers that get clicks. Here's my top ten:

    I have a bunch of sites. I think the ones that have the link share referal program are ndthunder.com, after5webdesign.com, dakotatundra.com. They break down like this:

    Ok, this will probably sound really stupid, but do I have to have all my sites set up as marketing chanels in order to earn commissions? I only have one url set up in my account, and I could easily see that site only generating 7 sales. Should I go through and add my other sites as marketing channels?

    Thanks Byron, and I do try to target the program to the site. For example, I use iTunes links at www.mytunessearch.com, American Bridal Accessories at www.fmbrides.com, LinkShare links at the link directories, etc. That's why this is such a mystery to me. If I were advertising wedding stuff at mytunessearch.com, I'd understand. But 22,000 clicks from one related site to another resulting in only 7 sales?!?

    22k clicks and only seven sales! That must really hurt. You must target the ads to the content on the site. This really a big loss.
