That's ridiculous. Who's gonna trust their hard work and well stabled website with such a cheap hosting, that just makes you look cheap and desperate. There is no profit in it, after paypal fees you'll get like 30-40 cents.. You better off just offering it for free that makes you look better... We all know you ain't gonna last long offering 99 cents host, people can find better and more reliable host some where else. I just hate when people do this start a hosting business just to mess around, and screw with people's time. I will keep checking your website and write an article about when you go out of business.. It won't be long. It's true what they say "Good things don't come cheap" If you want good and reliable host you will have to pay for it, we're all in business to make money and trust me 99 cents don't even pay for your paypal fees.
Actually we do still make money after the Paypal fees with a 99 cent hosting plan. It's not a lot of profit, but it is some profit. While it is true that a lot of times you get what you pay for, it is also true that a lot of customers in the web hosting community are vastly overpaying for their usage. Our experience shows that a lot of web hosting customers have just a simple page, with a simple layout, that is basically designed for them to put up a lot of information about themselves, their hobby, or their business, so that they "word-of-mouth" advertise, "check out my website at ... for more information". Perhaps a caterer, simply needs a website to list their prices, specialties, and phone number, so that when they are out on a job, they can easily refer patrons to their website for more information. For this, a lot of people don't need a $4/mo or $9/mo web hosting account. Please note, we don't recommend any of our budget plans, such as these plans or any of our competitors budgets plans if you intend to run a business from your website or offer something to a community that requires high performance. If you're running a business off your website and that is your sole area of income, if you make even $100 a month from your website, you can probably afford a more expensive, $9/mo web hosting account, that will give you a more premium level service. If you are expecting to operate a business on a 99 cent or even a $4/mo web hosting account, you are probably going to be disappointed. Likewise, if you are running a community forum such as here at DigitalPoint, you will want to host that with a premium level service. This is just common sense. How important is the information on your website? And how does that play a role in how much you are willing to pay for a website per month? These are questions you have to answer for yourself. Also, please note, BlazingHost is a budget brand of our parent company, AMS Computer Services. AMS Computer Services does not operate solely in the budget web hosting industry. We have been in the web hosting business since 1996 and we are a profitable, no debt web hosting company. We simply started this 99 cent budget brand because we saw a market for this type of hosting. But rest assured, it is not our sole web hosting venture.
