I just received an Email that DoubleClick Performics will now be known as Google Affiliate Network. You can read more here http://www.mediaviper.com/ I am excited about this and can't wait to work with the new Affiliate Network!
Hey Sem-Advance, good to see you over here. I just blogged this too. I think this could be a real boon to our industry and enhance the image of affiliate marketing as a whole. I think lots of companies that haven’t yet launched affiliate programs will probably jump into the game now too. I’m personally SUPER excited because the Google Affiliate Network is coming on as a Premier Featured 5 Star Program and will have a dedicated forum so we can keep everyone up-to-date on all the new programs and network developments.
Well, it's not like they built their own network lol They just bought Performics a few months ago, and now (today) they are officially changing the name. That's all. It is HUGE though.
i visited http://www.doubleclick.com, I can't figure out how to open an account as a pubrisher, any body has an idea?
dragon321 Here's the application to join the Google Affiliate Network. https://www.connectcommerce.com/secure/partner_app_alt.html?agid=20000000000000001 The application and page still says DoubleClick Performics, but that will be changing. FYI I got there from the sign up link on this page: http://www.google.com/ads/affiliatenetwork/publisher/index.html
If you're trying to sign up with the new Google Affiliate Network, just go here http://www.google.com/ads/affiliatenetwork/index.html
Dinar, there isn't a sign up link on that page. The link in my post above is the correct one. (Connect Commerce is Google's site.)
I chimed in my two cents on this too over at my blog. Affnet, CJ, and all the rest better look out, everybody looking for the next step beyond AdSense won't have to leave Google anymore.
Yeah, me also have received about this new affiliate system in my mailbox this early morning... Will apply for it in couple of days...
Hey this is a big news... Google in Affiliate Marketing..... Even I am eager to start doing it as soon as I can... hey guys, do you have any tips for a novice...
i thought doubleclick is the evil-big-brother-that-tracks-your-pc-use company since the 90's. how does the "don't be evil" motto fits into all that?
