What could be wrong with my site, I have photography related user forum/photo gallery.

I have all my ads appear at the bottom of page? But that looks to be the best place on site (don't want to clutter site with ads)

www.photographersstop.com (DP admins, can I post links like this?)

    Thanks

You answered your own question unfortunately!

I'd put the 'Sponsored Links' just above the 'Most recent discussions in Forum', or below.

Basically, hit the site and what grabs your attention right away? The recent discussion area.. the ad are way down, you have to scroll.... hit users with your ads right away and if they're interested they'l click.. if not, they'l read your recent discussions and won't send you abusive e-mails about the ads, don't worry! It won't look cluttered at all.

    Please post the results!

    Pete

The position of your ad affect your earnings... try to move your ad at top or after every post.

You need to find the right balance between putting the ads where people see them and click on them, yet they don't get turned off by them. Every site is different and the only way to know what works and what doesn't is to experiment.

I think ads at the very bottom of the page are the least intrusive and therefore will also get the lowest CTR.

If you want clicks you have to catch visitors attention to the ads:
Your header with the orange color is an eye-catcher, so I'd make the "Photographer's Stop" Logo smaller and put another 468x60 ad right to it in the header. (The way it is now, the place is somehow wasted). :D

Mmm.. just a note 900 impressions is not that much. On one of my sites I get 82431 impressions, and only 2000 uniques (p/d). So how many yniques are you getting?

alright guys/gals, someone has put extremly nasty comment on this thread. If he/she has any guts come forward and talk to me about his/her point. I have point to prove.

Why this forum doesn't make someone who puts comments accountable for what they say. Why can anyone just come in and put nasty comment and not leave his/her name behind, so that it can be addressed.

The problem is what others mentioned here already.
Try placing a leader board just below the top navigation, with blended colors.

I think if you put your ads at the top and at the left side you are going to get more clicks because when someone open a page what they see first is that place then if the have time scrolls down. hope this helps you.

Ad's just below the banner will not be too pushy or annoying, you don't want your site to seem as if the ad is more important than the content or links to site.

Here you have to know one thing.it is not the question of how manay impressions your getting or else how many visitors your getting..LOL.

It is completely depends on how quality is your traffic.even you got 100 impressions there is chance of making 10-15$ out of it.

This point you should remember and work on it.

Proper placement of very important. Nothing gets me angrier than readers who accuse the writer of selling out. What a bunch of boo-hockey! If I weren't looking out for myself, who would? Now that reader doesn't pay for my gas now does he?
