Agree, it's not about your country or their country, it's about YOU.

What have you been invented? What have you been done, mate?

Dude..It was an Indian who invented Zero. WIthout which all your electromagnetism and Space mumbo jumbo would be Zero.

Check out this video to know what your Indian ancestors did

That again showcases the talents of the young Indian mind at work.
But in the name of achievements and accomplishments, we shall not rob the child from itself enjoying the childhood but it is our bounden duty to nurture and foster talents :)

lol i think you already got your answer but if you really wanna get to that (which is completely off topic) i'll get along...

You call India a land of copycats? disgusting! that f****** East India company took everyone of our old literatures , translated them and strategically made it to look like they've invented things! Thats just great! the airplanes you're talking about have been conceptuanalized in rig veda... one of the oldest literature known and aryabhatta invented things and plotted star movements at a time when Europe was in dark and cudn't do anything but fight... jagdish chandra bose invented the wireless technology way before marcoi, here's a quote from wikipedia

and you call India a "land of copycats?". It was in india that zero was developed and if you've ever paid attention in your classes you wud know how important that number is, the counting cannot start without it... Our Ayurveda (developed in around 2000 B.C) is far more effective and has no side effects over chemicals. so lemme reverse the statements for you...

Prasads and Kumars invented Medicine and Smiths and Speights just copied the idea to modify it.
Prasads and Kumars invented Wireless technology and Smiths and Speights again copied the idea to modify it.
Prasads and Kumars invented the 0 but Smiths and Speights kept using it without even giving them any credit.

Though I am not a fool, i know every country has contributed in the global development and it does not matter what a country did...but what u did as an individual...

Let me remind you if the East India Company hadn't depleted all our gold reserves and didnt enslave us (and dont think it was bravery, if they'd have fought our armies heads on...they'd never wud've won...they turned great indian warriors against each other and sat back and enjoyed the gold) we would have been one of the greatest economies of the world and i'm sure of that. they turned hindus and muslims (once brothers) against each other and divided us into two different nations... if you call this wit i'll call you a fool!

also lets not forget that the america we're talking about had no existence whatsoever before lets say 500 years, nobody knew the land even existed but the great indian land is known since 5000 years as the golden bird and i suppose you can compare these figures.

Also it doesn't matter if the girl is indian or american... she did something to be congratulated at. And lets not fool ourselves with our country boundaries , i believe we're the United Nations not Britain/America or India!

and if you hadn't gethered all that after living in india for 20 years... i must say "God Help you!" :p

    @Yogesh1099,

Leave it yaar. No use arguing.
Its pointless to discuss this issue.
This is a post on the girl. Not a question of India's greatness.

"The best revenge is to Live well"
This will happen some time in the future and at that point these arguements wont even come up.
    Until then keep watching...

I think Your question is wrongly pointed to me (if its not mistaken then its a senseless question), because its not me who is blaming other country or its citizens.

By the way did I say/claim I invented something? mate?

Anyway, to answer your question "what I have done" (contributed to society?) I am contributing 40% tax to the government which in return is contributed to society.

Lastly, I would say read the whole conversation before you reply :) - no offense.

    Cheers

Amazing, but very likely she memorized every possible question and answer especially considering her other listed accomplishment.

Reminds me of all the kids I would randomly see on TV many years ago titled "Genius" having massive knowledge by the age of 5, knowing all the presidents, their birthdays, their US states and capitols with the years they were formed and tons of other things I forget 10 seconds after hearing. I was always amazed by them thinking they would become scientists and have world changing inventions... Well a couple years ago I remember watching a special on many of these kids of the past and their abilities were in most cases DISabilities because they weren't wired correctly to function in society and make much of their life. I was pretty blown away watching the special about it, but it made perfect sense. Just like the autistic boy who could play back any piece of music on the piano simply by hearing it once at the age of 10 but was unable to dress himself.

As for the people saying the kid needs to be a kid... as a father I agree, but this girl is probably much different than her peers and rather than wanting to play, pretend, and imagine, she may very well feel more comfortable absorbing facts and information to file away. She may not understand the point of talking to a doll (which studies show to be important in social skills), but she understands the feeling of accomplishment and acceptance she gets with doing things like this. So, the parents may not push at all, and rather just support and give direction.

Last thing, the people talking about what country invented what and which race is smartest, it's pointless. It's time we all get past having the need to make ourselves feel better by laying claim to superiority. People are hurt by it and it only makes you look ignorant.

Ditto. Let kids be kids. Applauds to kid for the achievement and shame to parent for putting burden on such a tender age kid.

Friend I never said a country is great or anything, i consider everyone equal. true i dont like some of the america's policy but hey..that doesnt mean i dont like the whole america and to that i really like hilary duff :D

but if people will get to somment about my country on a post which had no relation whatsoever to the country but about a girl who'd achieved something really appreciative. and to all those who're saying " shame on the parents and stuff" I dont think sny parent wud do something like forcing her into studying. my elder brothers friend have 11 yo daughter and she likes to study herself inspite of his parents telling her to go and play with the rest of her friends, and she does play too. so my point is if u dont know about circumstances here, plz dont be so supid as to call the parents anything.

Vedas are not myths my friend, I suppose you've got all your details wrong, those were written and compiled by wisest of the wisest men/women, and if you call ayurveda a myth... rofl
