You mean wordpress.com? If so then 'done' is probably pretty much the right word indeed. You'll get done by them on quite a rapid pace when you start monetizing your site in almost any way, including affiliate links in your blog. This is all against WP advertising policies and they DO follow those policies (I've recently had one of my few wp.com sites banned - the only reason I kept it on WP.com was that it had PR6 from old times and I didn't bother 301ing. Well, stupid me, I guess)
Just wanted to let you all know that I've launched another site this morning, did exactly what I suggested you to do in my first post and my site was indexed in 1.5 hours! Another hour and it started ranking for my keywords (if you didn't know - Google usually indexes the site first but starts showing it in actual SERPS a while later)
Thanks for info. You can use any popular classifieds, not just craigslist. For example backpage also accepts links and indexed very frequently.
A sound post, nice to see some good straightforward good advice. Will certainly be looking up the Press Release sites, not something I have used before. Cheers. Bagless
Thank you for a very informative post. Too bad, many of us cant seem to to put our egos aside and actually learn from this guy. Thanks for sharing. Rep Up
hehe...I always use it for my new sites, thanks for sharing though I often use aboutus.org for the same
Thanks for the info. Very useful article and even though I've been using most of the tactics already there were a few that were new to me and have very nice potential. Reps added and thread bookmarked. Definitely sticky material.
Thanks everybody for the great feedback the article's been getting! I'm glad to have been able to help some newbies out and hopefully the article has served it's purpose by eliminating at least a few of those "how to get indexed?" threads Absolutely! Though I'm a little busy launching a couple of products I'll definitely find the time posting some valuable information every now and then --- Thanks! Unfortunately DP doesn't do stickies for one reason or another - I'm as annoyed as most of us regulars are by the posts that have been answered thousands of times and could point out well over 10 threads to be stickied, but it's the reality we have to deal with
