    According to this site: h ttp://www.seo-ranking-tools.de/pagerank-backlink-update-history.html thre was a BL update on 9/4/08.

    I have lost PR to 0 on a couple of sites and NONE have gone up but a few of my important sites have GAINED Goog backlinks which may be good!

    Opinion?? Just a re-fresh or adjustment for Google!

    Try to think what you've done wrong and could be the reason for this drop? I see no PR changes, it's not PR update time.
    It's really annoying that Google adjust manually the PageRank even when it's not PR update time.
    I wonder for how long these penalties last...

    Something is happening, it is certain that some pages are loosing PR, yet none have gained any. I agree with the previous post who said this is more like a penalty than an update.

    I think there is a PR update going on. My forum went from unranked on http://www.gaspumpstop.com/forum/ is suddenly a Pr 4 on Firefox toolbar even though the site is only 2 weeks old. Usually when I see a PR come out of nowhere like that it means a update is going on.
