Actually moderators do roam this part of the forums and enforce the rules . However they do allow a greater degree of freedom .

 

No, they have not for some time. P/R become a free for all some time ago and that's why you do not see the same level of quality posts or posters here anymore. Most have either left, or participate a lot less as a result. The bulk of the people here are wannabe nutjobs, previously banned members with duplicate accounts, and still others who simply enjoy running up their post count.

 

I have seen a post being deleted a few days ago . It was a post in a non-English language , I was on my way of reporting it but when i refreshed the thread the post was gone .

Funny that you mention post counts since both of us have the majority our posts in this section . I for one enjoy heated the debates that take place here and I'm sure that I'm not the only one feeling this way .

 

I'm not sure if the majority of them are. I've been here since 1998. That's a LONG time I hardly need to pad my posts.

 

The issue with Menj/Awin is not one of moderation. Menj has made the claim that even though he is banned, it is Awin his wife is who is signed in from the same IP address. Since it is impossible to definitively prove or disprove this claim, and since the moderators have accepted this explanation, and since Menj has not accrued enough infractions to be banned under his "wife's" account, there is quite literally nothing can be done.

To anyone who has looked at his wife's writing, it is painfully obvious that it is Menj who is posting. Throw in the fact the guy runs several pornography based websites while claiming to speak for Muslims, and you have character evidence that shows he is a chronic liar. For all we really know, the guy is an Israeli spy sent to this forum to make Muslims look bad.

 

Which again confirms my contention that no one moderates P/R. That or the moderator is a ignorant or pals with Menj. Its more than painfully obvious who is posting, its blatantly obvious. The fact that its allowed to continue proves one of two things:

1. There is no one moderating P/R.
2. Whomever is moderating P/R supports and accepts the fact that a banned member is using a Ghost account to continue to post here.

I'd even go as far as to say that Awin is a figment of Menj's imagination. That or Menj is skitsofrenic.

DP is a company, and it was launched (or incorporated) long before 04. What I was referring to specifically was the list that preceded the forums in their current incarnation. The "Optigold" list, which I've been a member of since 1998. Digital Point the forums started as a mailing list for support of the product of the aforementioned company.

From my perspective, I've been a member for over 12 years. I'm one of the first 500 here on the forum, mainly because I refused to migrate right away. A lot of us liked the list based format better, and it was easier to read depending on what we were using as a mail reader way back when.

In fact DP Forums started using phpBB. And it was strictly Filemaker and Optigold Support. Over time it went in several different directions of blackhattedness and SEO scammyness... most useful, a lot not. At its peak it was really a decent place to discuss most anything. Today, not so much.
