8pt or 10pt?

    10pt or 11pt is great.:cool: For footer you can use 8pt but not for body text!! :D

    The use of the pt unit is completely inappropriate for the web. A point (pt) is 1/72 of an inch. Screen resolution is usually 96 pixels per inch (ppi). That would make a pt = 1â…“px.

    Most browsers default to a 16px font size which is roughly 12pt. Set the <body> font-size to 83% for about 10pt, and 76% for about 9pt. These make OK, if a bit small for older eyes, base font sizes. Set all other sizes off the base by using em measures or percentages.

    I take the attitude that the visitor likes his browser's base font-size, and set my base to 100%. That may be larger than most "designers" like it, but it's always easy to read and has a clean appearance.
