I'd suggest u to remove the bottom banner and put that banner parallel to forum logo. Most of the users don't bother to see whats on the bottom of the forum or page. So its better to put the bottom banner parallel to forum logo.

From my experience, forums usually do terribly bad with pay-per-click ads. Rather get some impression based one.

Just keep experimenting try text links with #0000FF title and web address, black text, no border.

The more your ads flow into your site the more visitors won't blank them out (banner blindness)

I like to suggest you change your google ads banner to text ads only on the top.Don't use image ads. See how it change. I use only text ads in all my adsense sites. FYI, your niche has low pay per click.

but image ads attract more visitors to click on them and they make site look interactive. I think there should be combination of text + image ads.

Check the keywords your visitors are suing to access your site. The keywords should be relevant to the theme of your website, otherwise the visitors will immediately click away when they find your site not relevant to their search. Only targeted visitors will browse through your site.
