    Adwords or Analytics?

If Analytics, maybe something wrong with the conversion tracking code snippets inserted.

You need to optimize your ad text and keywords so that you're getting the right targeted traffic to your site. You also need to make sure that your site has clear call to actions and the right information for visitors to make a decision to purchase. If you don't get these things right, Adwords can eat up your budget and yield no results.

    Hey Pal,

have a look at the below question and try relating these with the account running on Google adwords. i hope u will find a solution to ur problem.

    Step1)
    * Is your ad text relevant and compelling?
    * Are you testing multiple creatives?
    * Have you utilized negative keywords?
    * Are your ad groups tightly themed? Is your copy specific to that theme?
    * Have you tested sending users to a different landing page?
    * Are you using tracking software?
    * What keywords are negatively impacting ROI? Positively?
    * How deep are you digging?

If this is your first stab at Adwords you might benefit from posting your info like the ads you're using, keywords, etc. Don't worry about people stealing your stuff, this is a learning experience and this is one of many Adwords campaigns you'll do in the future. Better to learn faster.

    Could be many things.

You may be using too many irrelevant keywords or ones that are too generic thus getting low quality clicks.

Also very likely is a poor sales pitch. People may be interested by your ad but your are not convincing them to buy. If so, that has nothing to do with your campaign. So take a long look at your sales message and how you can improve it.

Just include the price of the product in the ad copy.. your clicks will drop, but conversions should increase... best way to filter out non-buyers & reduce cpc ;)

It could be many things, but it sounds like your just getting the general looky loos that we'v all dealt with regarding traffic. You need to target you traffic more to people who will be interested in what your selling. Try using google keyowrd tool, or keyword tracker and you'll see what people are typing in specifically, rearding your site or product.

There are a few things that could be have an effect on this. Try running longer tailed, more specific keywords (i.e. half price armani suits or mens armani suits vs armani suits), this will help with getting more qualified clicks. Also take a look at your website/landing page. Adding a video can often assist with conversion. People buy with their eyes. Most don't want to read content, they'd rather watch a video. Also consider adding some call to action elements there, like a free trial or not available in stores type of deal.

there maybe many reasons. following is a list of things you may need to check out:
1> you need check if you are attracting the target audiences.
2> you need to check if your product is priced properly and competitive
3> Is your landing page well written?
4> is your website working properly?

I would go with what someone suggested.....put the price in the ad... make it clear that this is a buying product..and make sure you use the negative keyword section...so for example a negative keyword when you are selling something is the word "free"

Your keywords must be too broad and general...try to narrow down to specific keywords.

if for auto parts website and try to sell xyz brand exhaust system

if you use "exhaust system" keyword, you will waste alot of money and get very little result

instead, use more specific keyword such as "xyz exhaust, xyz exhaust system or exhaust system for xxxx" etc

    good luck!

have you analyzed your compaign? is the 857 clicks from a single keywords or from many different ones? You may want to start focus on few keywords that you think may convert first

Because your niche is not good or it is not buyable by the visitors. Try to keep attractive keywords, and change your niche as well.
