Usually I used to net around say 20 $ for a 150 clicks or so. I log into my adsense account today and see the revenues slump by an mind boggling number of 3 $ My niche is MBA education, Anyone else experiencing the same amount of slumps?
use affiliate programs. online university related programs pay a lot and some programs pay as much as $20-$30 per valid application. azoogle has some programs like that where you can sign up and promote those programs if you have good US traffic. keep adsense as supplement for your niche
Haven't earned a single cent since today morning !.. Now its showing 65 clicks - 0 dollar .. Also the channels are not showing in the report .. smthing is broken !
My CPC actually went up to from .12 to .18 for a 'gaming' niche. I was quite impressed. Granted adsense is my absolute default network. However, it the earnings are improving here. For your niche I don't know how much traffic your generating, but if its a decent amount affiliate networks can pay you so much better. Give it a shot.
I did notice a slump in the adsense earnings these days but it is not as drastic as 85%. Check your traffic to see whether there is any corresponding decrease?
My profit per click has slumped by about 50% over the last few months, looking forward to the recesison ending so I can get some money back!
Wait for few days, say two or three and again check. What is the result.I am not observing any change in my earning.
I did see the slump which started around end of last month but it didn't go down as much as what you mentioned here.
mine is down 50% especially the traffic that came from online advertising. the organic clicks are down 20%. I have no idea what is going on there as adsense does not reveal its model.
The economy is in the toilet. Let's hope Bush does not flush before leaving office. With a bad economy, many companies are pulling back on spending. This includes layoffs and reduced marketing budgets. Consumers have clamped down on their wallets, so it is no surprise to see Adsense revenue fall in many niches. Keep working so that when the economy rebounds you will be positioned well to take advantage of it.
I have to be honest. Having a 50% or more revenue crash and not knowing why the slump is happening is in real trouble. Maybe you did a bad update on your site and it dumped your serps.
My suggestion is to give a couple days before you really get ready. A single bad OR good day can happen... only pay attention to a trend.
I would also suggest checking out some affiliate marketing offers. For example Neverblue has over 22 offers at the moment on education. Most offers pay $20+/lead.
