I just started on ad campaign on adwords before 5 hours.

And what I see is there are 845 page impressions of my ad but no click.

What should I do now ? What I am doing wrong ?

    Can anybody suggest me ?

I cannot be 100% sure but I am going to guess you have the content network turned on and that your adgroup is triggering it. If you drill down to the keyword level of your campaign that shows this large impression amount, you should be able to see where these impressions are coming from..either the search or content network. Content network impressions will be listed at the bottom.

It will also list your average position on the content network as well, just like search.

Yes, I am using only content network. It will not show me for which keywords my ad was displayed. But it says average position is 3.1, I dont understand that.

I dont want to use search network as it costs high bid. So what could be the main reason for this ?

Is it normal to have such huge impressions and no click when using only content network ?

Yes, it is normal. On the content network you should expect CTR to be very low, most likely under 1% although that is NOT always the case.

I am a firm believer in the content network and the power of it. I would dig into as much information as you can about it through Google and learn how to target it more fully. You may even want to look at individual websites that show up in organic listings for your keyword search terms. If they have adsense ads on them in prominent places you can target those sites specifically.

Still, you should expect this high amount on the content network. I have one adgroup on the content network that is at 55 clicks/8500 impressions and it is only 10:30 am here. :)

Google just added a new functionality to their report system awhile back which should allow you to look at what websites your ad is appearing on in the content network. This may be able to help you etermine what is going on much better too. I have not used it yet so I cannot tell you how to create the report but it is an option available in your reports section of your adwords account.
