842 Backlinks

    I checked the Backlinks to my site last night and currently it has 842. Not sure how it got there so fast because a couple weeks ago it had 482. Anyways I am wondering if the backlinks to my site will be counted as genuine or will Google penalize me in their next PR update? The site is www.veganisgreen.com. Thanks.

    If Google is displaying them in the link operator you should be safe, they are considered matured inbound links to your site. In theory, if you gain backlinks before the next update you should increase pagerank.

    Don't worry about pagerank, worry about qaulity backlinks that are related to your site. You want to increase your SERPs not pagerank ;)
