83 million accounts on Facebook are fake

I guess the number of fake profiles is much higher than 83 million.

I have a fake account on Facebook too. .

 

may be but most of the fake accounts are made for flirting, dating or gaming. People made one primary account for a particular game and made a bunch of duplicate/ sub accounts to support the main account.

 

It does not suprise me and i cannot see Facebook surviving in its current format in 5 years time its peaked and infact i can see the amount of people who use it will demise.

 

I have 200 fake account and I make a very nice income from dating affiliate network doing e-whoring!

Sadly this doesn't surprise me one bit, as many people that try to use facebook for marketing, getting as many friends as possible and spam them with useless stuff. There goes the neighborhood!

 

The number will be even much higher. Always find lots of profile with one/two pictures with no information! Find out and disable those will be a nice move.

and why people need a fake account. it must be to sell fake products or services

Yes, it is a great way to make friends and money. One account is not enough at all.
