$80k/Month Spend on Adwords and it stopped...

Hi all, I've been a long time lurker and now I need some assistance. For the past two years I've been spending around $80k/Month with Google, and have so far either avoided or mitigated the various updates which have sent similar advertisers to the wall.

I don't want to discuss whether or not my business model is right or proper (it is legal), but I wondered if anyone else saw a massive decline in clicks and impressions from Adwords yesterday?

In addition, I would be very grateful if anyone here would like to take a look at my situation (the sites in question). Moving forward I'm considering having my ads managed by a third party - would agencies do such a thing, and would they be able to come up with a viable and long lasting solution - and believe it or not, for all the pain Adwords causes me, I'd rather do all this abiding by their rules.

I didnt see an overall decline in clicks, but did see a few periods where search clicks seemed to be coming in much more slowly than usual. Id be happy to take a glance at your sites and see if I can shed any insight. Good luck

Hi patzer, I'd like to take you up on that offer. I'll PM you the details once a few others have responded to this post.

I wonder if individuals on here would have more success running the campaigns on here, than agencies anyway. ;)

    Hi revenuestream,

I had huge decline in clicks on June 24, 25 and 26 but impressions still close to average

I don't know the reason of this and don't know what to do with this. I already contacted Google but they didn't find nothing unusual

Thanks streamco, sadly it's both clicks and impressions which have faltered, then died. :(

    Fortunately YSM/MSN are up.

Thanks for all the PMs, I've got back to some of you - will get back to others very soon. On the plus side I am seeing some traffic from Adwords now - but less than 5% of what it was. I think it's time for someone else to manage this side of the operation - I'm tired of trying to second guess Google's black box.

There's a couple account managers on here trolling for business daily. I'm sure one will repsond or has already pm'd you promising you big results. I wouldn't be giving out your landing pages though. I can guarantee that people you're showing them to are going to copy them and compete with you. Unless it's your own business, in which case who cares if they see your landing pages right?

As for the decline in traffic. I'm guessing it's niche related, but just a guess. They seem to rotate what they crack down on throughout the months.

    :)
