$80 - Shampoo Bottle Label Design Contest

Hi All,

I need you to design a label (sticker) for a bottle of Shampoo. I are looking for some creative people who know how to add value to cosmetic products juss by making awsum looking Label Graphics. For the size of the bottle check out the attached image.

Important Points:

1) You can change the color of bottle from black to any other color.
2) Color of bottle and cap can be different as per your design.


Here is how the contest will work.

I am going to leave this contest open for 1 week. At that time I will review all labels and select the top 3. The first winner will be paid $60 and the second winner $20 for their submission of the Label graphic.

All prizes will be paid via paypal.

I will have all rights to the label graphics after the contest has ended and the transaction has been made.

Label Width (circumference) = 16 cm
Height = 13 cm

Initial submissions may be made with .jpg images but the finalists will be required to send a fully editable file like Corel-Draw, Adobe illustrator, Adobe Photoshop .

Thanks for the designs that some of you have already submitted. Few designs are really amazing but in most cases the colors used are too bright and the overall label looks too flashy. I want something simple yet classy. I am giving u some examples of designs which i personally like ( see the links below ). Personally, I think waiting until Feb 15th is too long.

 

I know but we had to extended the contest till 15th Feb bcoz all the label designs we have got till now have been way below our expectation. Some have been too flashy n some have been too dull. Hoping to receive some nice classy labels in the coming days.

We are in the process of reviewing all the designs received till date. Will get back to everyone who has submitted the designs ( via PM ) with the feedback and amendments.
The contest is still open to new entries.

 

Isn't there a rule that entries are posted in the thread.. As to keep it fair for all...

 

I dont know of that rule but if you have a link please post it.

in the second post of this thread he mentions other entries not being the right colors and such and I didnt see any so I assumed people PM'ed him with their entry.

Thank you for the details. Here is an image of my label. I have kept it a simple two colour style, sticking to neutral tones that reflect those found in nature. As a regular buyer of new products, I designed something that would appeal to me, a 26 year old woman. Personally, I don't like overly complex or detailed labeling. I also ran the style and look past my partner, a 30-something male, who also liked it.

The round icon is representative of a pebble, again, this runs with the natural theme and suggests pampering - pebbles used as a part of a popular massage treatment in salons.

Here is a preview of how the label might look when on a bottle. I have made the bottle a deep grey, I tried a few colours and this looked the best out of them.

Of course, as in the label images above, the small 'pebbles' would not be light grey as on this image, but darker as on the one above.

 

Is there any news on this?

are you still PM'ing people with feedback, I have yet to get any and I'm starting to get worried about this contest.

 

Just for the record, I haven't heard anything either. I don't like to make assumptions, and fair enough if the CH is busy...but it would be good to hear something. He has an itrader rating so things should be ok.
