Contest *** $80 Logo Contest --- at least one winner GUARANTEED ***

    Hi everyone,

    The logo is for a website design/development firm called Lunaplex. Unlike most of my other contests, this contest is GUARANTEED to have a winner, so at least one artist will be walking away with $80 (additional amounts will be given to other notable submissions for their hard work as usual).

    Here are the specifications:

    - The art must be 100% vector and resizable, so the final product MUST be high resolution and in the proper formats
    - The logo itself must be separate from the word "Lunaplex", so no incorporating the logo in as one of the letters
    - The logo should be to the LEFT of the word "Lunaplex".
    - The word "Luna" means "Moon", so take that into account
    - The word "plex" means "to weave". I'm not sure how this can be incorporated in the logo, but if you can think of a clever way it would be quite impressive

    The contest will last approximately 2 weeks, though I reserve the right to cut it short if I find something I really like. All submissions must be posted to this thread.

    @kain: the second specification states that the logo must be separate from the text, as in please don't add any graphics to the word "lunaplex". All real "artwork" should be done solely on the logo to the left. Also, the logo on the left looks too much like bananas. I look forward to seeing more of your submissions as I've seen a lot of great work from you in the past.

    Id like two color schemes per concept: one on a light background and one on a dark.

    As for feedback, some artists should please read the specifications. the art should be only on the logo to the left - no art on the word Lunaplex.

    I really havent seen any submissions that can be critiqued yet - they're all pretty bland. hoping to see more creative/professional submissions

    My favorites so far are the entries by TheGraphicsGuy and deeDesign, though I would like to see some more variations.

    Another note I would like to make is that "plex" can mean "to weave". I'm not sure how, but if you could come up with a clever way to tie that into the logo as well it would be quite impressive. Looking forward to seeing more variations and submissions.
