Exactly. If you have managed to get 80% CTR (while abiding by Google TOS), then why the hell would you want to lower the CTR??

Pat yourself on the back, go have a celebratory drink, and figure out how to replicate the success in another 1000 sites. :D

(And if you wish to share the URL of that site with me, PM me with the link - the drinks are on me!!!) :D

Try to get more traffic, or send an email to Adsense to check whether it is a sabotage or not.
No matter it is or it is not, your email might save your account.
If your CTR continue in this way, your account will be flagged and monitor by Adsense closely.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood your request.

And VincentChow is correct. Given your overwhelmingly successful CTR, be proactive and email Google with your concern. They will no doubt flag your account anyways, but it would help for them to see that you pre-emptively notified them of the unusually high CTR. Speaks to your credibility.

visit your site regularly. :D as in around 100 times a day.. :p it will bring your ctr down. :) I am assuming of course that your traffic is little (therefore have a high ctr).

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but if your 80% CTR is from less than 15 to 20 impressions, then I wouldn't worry about it. It's normal to have a site that has 10 impressions and have 8 clicks. It's NOT normal to have a site with 100 impressions and 80 clicks.

    OK... here it goes...

I will not give the URL, but I will give an idea of what it is.

It is a "Halloween" related site that gets a surge in traffic for 45 days and then the rest of the year it is at basically very low traffic.

These visitors are "CLICK HAPPY" mostly teens.... The ads G is showing are all on target...

We have 3 half banners stacked up one above another with an image in front of each one, all running on the home page and all above the fold... Halfway into the day we split them into different channels for tracking.

Here is the conversion on the 3 ads...
    3X%
    3X%
    2X%

Note if you add them up we are now at 8X% CTR for the day - this is crazy..... BTW unique visitors are way above above 100 per day....

Bottom line: you have something wrong with the code. 80% CTR is not achievable, in this or any other lifetime. All of your impressions are likely not being counted.

    This is wrong.

As for the other advices here on visiting your site yourself a lot to get down the ctr: its against the TOS to raise the number of pageviews in an unatural way. Remember, in adsense, sometimes there can be ads on you pages that you get paid for per impression.

As long as your not breaking TOS, and the clicks are legit, I wouldn't worry about it. I often have CTRs over 100% on some sites..not every day though.

That was the 1st place I looked... It is always easy to balme the code if you can not figure it out..... the truth is it is being counted...

    no problem... :)

I have decided to leave it alone and see what will happen... we are good with the TOS...

yup not breaking TOS, so I have decided to leave it alone...

If you take a look at the trend over the last few years... we are at the start of it all... google.com/trends?q=halloween&ctab=1&geo=all&date=all
