Hi Everyone, I need 5 header graphics. 4 of them are for related blogs and need to say the following (don't include any of the the numbers...) 1. Playing Board Games (985x125) 2. Rules of Card Games (985x125) 3. Party Games to Play (985x125) 4. Outdoor Games Activities (985x125) Feel free to be creative, use images if you want to and please don't have the words too small. The 5th graphic is for a social network called SophistiGames which will be for fans of those topics. I need a graphic to put in its header (950x105) and also a 150x150 version of it to use as a logo (so I suppose I am asking for 6 ). It needs to say: SophistiGames (in bigger writing) Board Games, Card Games, Party Games and Outdoor Games Activities (smaller writing - its the tagline/slogan) The 150x150 can just say SophistiGames (without the tagline/slogan) edit: If you are stuck for colour ideas then check out the colours on http://sophistigames.ning.com. It would be helpful if your logo for SophistiGames matches them, the blogs graphics can also match as they are all working together in a network. This is just a suggestion though because I'm happy to change the colours of the network for a great graphic. Style: Because the blogs are all in a network togethor it would help if they were all in a similar style (less work for you! ). They can be in similar/the same colours if you can find something that works. Same thing goes for fonts. However, images of normal playing cards obviously shouldn't go on the board games logo and vice versa. Optional: The 4 blog graphics could all say "Powered by SophistiGames" or "Part of the SophistiGames network" or "A SophistiGames Blog" (without the quotes). That writing should be small and perhaps slightly faded if you choose to do it. The SophistiGames graphic shouldn't emphasize any one of the blog topics over another one of the blog topics. If I had to pick which one graphic that should be the 'best' it would be the SophistiGames graphic. If in the unlikely event I choose individual graphics from different people then I'll split the $80 evenly up between winners. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. Hi Jackeih, thanks for the entry, I like it, its great . It's more important for the style to be similar than the colours, but the same/similar colours could be good too. I look forward to seeing the rest of your entries!
Jackeih, another great entry! Having different colours for each blog logo works well. Thanks for the entry JacoArmy, I like a lot it so its pretty close between you and Jackeih but I'd say Jackeih is just about in the lead. It would be good if your other entries (if you do more) use lighter/brighter colours. Also remember the actual SophistiGames logo is the most important so that can 'turn the tables'.
There isn't a deadline yet but I wont want to wait much longer than a couple more days. If a complete entry for all the designs is entered, it will be chosen and the contest will end.
Thanks again for the great feedback. Here is my try at the logo. It's kind difficult to fit a "rectangular" word in a perfectly square shape, so this probably needs some work. But this is what I have so far... Edited because I used the wrong font.
Hi jackieh. I like you way you've used incorporated the different images to cover the various topics (no sign of party games though, perhaps -at the risk of cluttering it- a party popper or party hat or something like that would work?). I also I like the font and consistent style throughout your entries. However, with this one I do find the images a bit 'tacky' looking. Perhaps its the colours? - because in the others the cards and dice dont look as tacky/cheap. The whiteback ground might not be helping. Also I'm not sure about the colours generally here, the word Games is a bit dark. Ideally the colours should match those on http://sophistigames.ning.com just for this one. Still isn't essential though. Also remember Im needing a banner and square for that one. It's alright if a little bit of the square is just blank to make it a square. edit: the square doesnt have to include the tag line. So basically something a bit more 'sophisticated' Hope those suggestions help!
Thanks again for the feedback. Here is the logo again and the header for SophistiGames. I have been racking my brain to figure out something to represent party the best and just when I uploaded these entries, I thought of balloons. So I will be back later to add balloons to all a 3 and remove the party hat because it just doesn't look as good as the others, in my opinion. Thanks!
mnuismnu - Thanks for your entries. They all look pretty good, but im finding they lack the 'vibrance' of the other entries. Jackeih, I really like your latest entries. The 'tackiness' has been eliminated . The Square logo is just fine (but feel free to change it to have balloons in if you think it will look even better!). The only criticism I can give the SophistiGames banner is the monopoly on the right which puts a bit too much emphasis on 'board games'. I'm just thinking it may be better with just brown all the way to the end or perhaps the images on the left mirrored symmetrically on the right instead - or something else if you can think of it. Other than that its great. Jackeih is quite far in the lead - I want let other potential entrants know Jackeih is now in a very strong position to win.
