My try....

 

Made the "e" in Automotive more sleeker and now it looks like it's fixed (can't really explain, but I think you get the idea) with the logo.

I don't normally comment on other peoples work but I thought that design was brilliant enough that the contest wasn't even worth entering. How you can say it is a copycat of carinsurancerates i'm not sure

 

That concept is actually incredibly common..

 

Yeah i was a bit surprised when i was told its copycat of that other logo, thought i had something original going on here, turns out i didn't..
