Earlier in the thread I mentioned about there being significant room for improvement in the earnings. In order to prove that, I set out on my own earnings optimization campaign. It is coming along quite nicely.

$3,652.61 is the mtd earnings as of right now, with 14 1/3 days left in the month. The trend is upwards and it seems to be increasing at a very predictable rate. Today we are already at $171.90 with over 8 hours to go.

Assuming the avarage stays at $250/day.. projected total for August will be:

3 575 + 3 652.61 = 7 227.61

I am not done with these improvements. So, let's look at one more scenerio. If the avarage for the remaining days in the month becomes $275/day, the projected total will be:

3 932.5 + 3 652.61 = 7 585.11

How realistic are these number... stay tuned to find out

 

So, how come you didn't take the offer? I only see the bid of $150,000, I mean if you can really sell your site for more then $200,000 I'll give it to you, but until than, I dunno..

 

Extended the end time for this listing to the furthest Sitepoint will allow it to go. 7 days and four hours is the remaining time.

In the meantime, I'll attempt to provide regular updates on earning increases and other things like that. If the remaining seven days pass and nothing happens, I'll relist, perhaps with a couple of weeks or a month break in between. One thing is for certain though, the earnings AND traffic will be significantly higher in the relisting. This for sure will cause the asking price to increase proportionately.

The price will always be tied to the value of the site, not any urgent need on my part to sell, because that was never the case. If someone has their eyes on this and wants to nagotiate a price in the low 300s and effectively save upwards of 70k then now would be a good time.

Appreciate the more reasonable type of comment... The reason I never sold for $200k is obviously because I don't urgently need the money.. waiting even several months and improving traffic/earnings in the meantime works fine with me. The $200k offer isn't going anywhere.

 

With under five days left, here are the Tribal Fusion and Adsense totals from the last three complete days:

Current offers are already in that range. The highest so far is $200,000

The owner does not need to make the updates. It is done by admins and mods. There is no need for the owner to research anything.

Thanks... even though this thread is probably not going to lead to a sale, I can't say I regret creating it.. it helped open up some revenue potential that would probably have been left untapped.

No, it never. At the new monthly earnings of $7,300... $200,000 is only 27 months earnings.

Look at my signiture.. I'm paying up to 40 months revenue myself for sites like this..

The network is still for sale.. August's total came to $6,993.31, a couple of hundred bucks off from my projected total made earlier in the thread, mostly because of excessive tweeking and testing. Still quite impressive. Keep in mind the two months before August were around $6,400 each.

The first two days of September have brought in $541.48. At the current rate, September's projected total is:

541.48 x 15 = $8,122.2

Notice that the methods employed here for revenue improvement are all conventional. It's the traffic and extremely high quality of the site which makes this so easy. This is why I'm not afraid of people copying the ad integration or methods I'm using... because there's nothing exceptional there.

As for bidding, had a $300k offer the other day asking for payment options. That bidder is currently researching. BIN currently stands at $400,000
