Other details:
The site has a forum which is unmoderated for the most part. Guests and members assist each other on stereo related issues. I just go in there once a week and clean up spam. I haven't updated the site at all, and don't think the previous owner has either for quite a long time. This site would really do well in the hands of someone with passion for the topic. I simply know nothing about this topic and can not contribute further to the content already there. Keep in mind the Adsense was only introduced since late October. I haven't made any attempt at monitising the site beyond the Adsense you see. There are links to some affiliate networks on certain pages of the site. I haven't gotten a chance to look into that or update the affiliate IDs. I have also not pointed any co-op weight to this domain. All you see is natural and based on the quality of the site. I do have it linked up from some of my other sites which is nothing major. The PR as you see it now is all natural from before I baught the site.

This sale is based on the overall quality of the site and not just the revenue.

really nice site but i am out of budget otherwise i would have met the bin.

 

The site seems to mostly have links to other sites for content such as reviews and product info. Dynamically scaping content from other sites works okay, but I found a few broken links. The forum seems to have the most content that is actually on the site.

It is hard to justify a BIN of almost 2 years of revenue when you only have 2 1/2 months revenue history.

I think the technology/partnerships used to pull data from all the various stereo sites together is probably worth something, since it seems to work pretty well. But the price is just too steep for me.

I baught it in an open auction. All I can say is during the final three minutes before the auction closed, the price bid up over a grand (from where the final bid was prior to the bid frenzy) . I was left there with the final bid, over a grand more than it was three minutes ago... so no, I didn't get it for cheap.

The age of the domain plus it's huge ranking power, and directory listings (Check www.whois.sc for that) is what justifies the BIN price. The revenue is no where near maxed out, and I'm sure most would agree with that.

I understand there's broken links. The site does need more attention than I'm able to give it, which is the main reason I'm selling.
