I guess many of us designers at some point of time would have been approached by people like the 'the next facebook' guy in the comic btw 5th one is my favourite. also tell what is your fav.

Hehe, I can identify with those. Especially the facebook clone, and the web 2.0 one. The thing is, if it's what the client wants, you don't really have much choice

 

Most of those websites would require a lot of knowledge or startup money to work anyway.

The 5th one is my favourite too, although I'm now a good designer. Anyways I like to create clones of famous and big webistes, because I find it as a bit of a challenge

So the 3rd one that says not to create clones of sites I ignore without hesitation.

 

building another facebook is definitely useless, there are some good advices though.

 

That is hilarious! I liked the "How a web design goes straight to hell" it's oh so familiar when dealing with egotistical clients.
