OKay guys im runnign this campaign on the content network, it seems to be running good more then 100 percent roi, make 1-3 sales per day. My budget is at 8.50 a day and its running on the content network, recently i have added keywords for search but thats gonnan require more testing. The issue is that google recomends me to up my budget to 50, so i do it one day, and wow, i got no sales. For some odd reason things seem to be working at 8.50 a day, now there telling me to up my budget to 100 dollars a day for a 1000% increase in clicks, but i have a feeling it wont work again. Is that not weird?
it is wierd. the clicks u recieve for $8 budget, you will get the same clicks plus more for $50 budget. so its really wierd that you are not converting for higher budget. do you convert with $8 budget every day or there are some days there is no sale?
I suggest leaving Content or reducing it back to $8.50 temporarily and taking a shot at Search with some exact Keywords for a few days and see what type of results you get.
actually this is very common and here is the reason I believe your $8 budget works better than your $50 or $100 budget. Since your budget is restricted to $8 google is not going to place you on high traffic sites or place you during prime time hours. Since google knows that your $8 could end up being spent in the matter of minutes, google has become very selective on your placements and times being placed. In effect, your ad is displayed on lower volume and non prime time hours, which apparently works much better than being displayed on some premier website during prime hours. If I were you I would examine your logs when you had your budget at $50. What websites got the clicks vs days you had $8 budgets. Id be willing to wager the culprit of your $41.50 in excess spending is due to a hand full of websites that you showed up for because your budget qualified you to be displayed on their site, due to their higher daily impression volume... Or... it could all be coincidence, and you just didn't make a since sale that one day.
