Google isn't favoring Wordpress sites over any other blogs.. G just loves fresh content, RSS feeds, and everything else that makes a blog a blog. That said, Wordpress does have some great plugins to help optimize your site for SEO purposes, and I rarely use anything else. (Though I do still have a few sites using Blogger, and they do really well also!)
If you use WPMU (WordPress Multi-User), you can have multiple blogs in a single WP installation. That's what Wordpress.com runs on. I run multiple WP installations - WPMU would probably be better for us, but I never took the time to figure out how to migrate everything over.
I love wordpress. I'm a new to internet marketing and it made it very easy to create a fairly decent blog with little to no knowledge about website creation.
Gotta throw my love for WordPress in here too! I love how easy it is to use and customize, I use it for just about everything. Great list of advantages, although, I'm not sure I agree with #6. I think the WordPress community support is great. Unless your talking about web hosts with scripts that install it and perform site backups for you, which should be a standard hosting feature IMO (I know it is not). And I agree that Google doesn't like WordPress, but for the most part, WordPress is designed to be SEO friendly and optimized for search engines. However, I must add that the theme you choose can greatly affect how optimized your site is.
I must admit, I chose wordpress over it's competetitors for both ease of use and ease of customisation. I mean there are all too many scripts out there that are difficult to customise, and you end up with a generic site that resembles that of other peoples. Wordpress seemed the best solution for me, and not only that, it's so easy to upgrade it to. I get tired of manually downloading and updating files all the time, whereas with wordpress, you can click one button in the admin panel, and it can upgrade itself.
