76 Order Form Submittals and 0 Conversions??

Hi, I am new here and I am not sure if I can call out the product specifically so I will tread carefully. I recently did a PPC campaign on Admob for a Mobile product that practically sells itself and in hindsight selling through CB would be a horrible business model for the company as a simple mobile app that did nothing but bring them to their website would eliminate the need for an affiliate as the app marketplace would sell it for them. The click through rate, order form impression and order form submission analytics were fantastic. I should have made a killing. I totally understand with the order form being filled out on mobile devices the likelihood of an error goes up exponentially and many people such as myself have scheduled cache cleaners clearing their cookies on a daily basis but seriously, 76 orders forms were filled out incorrectly or all CCs were denied and nobody bothered re-submitting their information? I have to think that the Vendor is not selling anything at all and rather phishing for CC data. But how would they maintain a high gravity within their niche and show conversions, return rate, etc? I Googled the product afterward, I know I should have done prior and after getting through the 100s of affiliate pages selling it themselves I got to an Android forum where a person was complaining of buying the product but nothing happened and no download took place nor was his CC ever billed. I even checked it all out on my own Droid phone and it was very mobile friendly with my affiliate link where it should be, made a bad entry on purpose and when prompted to re-enter my info my affiliate ID was still there. Has to be a very high level scam right? Wait until the person forgets all about the purchase and start milking the accounts or selling the numbers?

If it was a re-bill product (and they got billed later) that would still show up as a sale in CB. Not sure why you would have 76 order form submissions with 0 conversions, that does seem rather strange. I will say, based on experience, it is VERY difficult to get people to make a CB purchase through a phone. Not sure why this is the case, but mobile browsers are iffy with Clickbank. Maybe someone who has a really popular product can explain what conversions are like for their product when comparing visitors using mobile browsers vs. traditional users on computers running Windows or Mac.

If at all possible, always buy what you're going to sell. Sometime one may not have the cash. I've learned the hard way though, selling things you haven't tried can be damaging to your future.

It may also help you discover if there is a problem before you spend adverting dollars.

Did you try writing the vendor? I will ALWAYS email a vendor before I promote something. If they don't answer pre-sales they likely will not answer after sale support. A very bad sign.
