For increasing click rate select high paying niche and after that target American, USA, and Australian traffic not Indian or other underdeveloped countries.
Depending on the niche, you will get different EPC (earnings per click) results. I have a Legal Attorney related site that has paid me up to $17 for a single click, but averages around $1.20 per click. I also have picture websites that usually pay me between $0.01-$0.10 per click. The niche helps Google decide which ads will be placed on your site and if they are high-paying customers for Google (such as lawyer, insurance, practically anything legal-related) then you can expect to earn more every time those ads are clicked. My legal sites have paid me a lot per click - Today I already had a $10 click, but unfortunately these websites are not receiving the high amounts of traffic that the picture ones are! -Do your keyword research using the Google Keyword Tool -Make sure you are logged in -Do your search for keywords -Notice the column called "Approximate CPC" <---The higher the amount, the more you can expect to make targeting that keyword ***Also, USA, UK and Australian traffic is the highest paying, as mentioned in previous posts.
Target the USA, Cananda, UK and other european countries. Then you will get more bucks per click. Choosing a high paying niche is another important fact.
The higher EPC depends upon two major factors: 1. Advertisers paying higher to get their ad displayed 2. The Country, where the traffic is coming from The professional niches like Insurance, Credit cards, loans, online education, scholarships, insurance, etc. have many advertisers so the advertisers struggle to get their ads displayed by bidding higher amounts. The higher the amount, the higher is your EPC. Google pays roughly 40-60% of what it gets from the advertisers. If it is getting 2 cents for a click then it will obviously not pay more than 1 cent to the site owners. Targeting the right keywords that have a higher CPC rate will help you gain better returns. The traffic from the western countries has more value, because the professionals there pay more to get their ads displayed. Targeting the traffic of these countries will ensure that you get higher EPC.
It is also possible you have been referring low quality traffic, thus getting smart priced by Adsense.
You are getting most of the traffic from India and other low paying countries. and your Niche is low paying as well. You need to change atleast one of them in order to earn more.
Adsense recommend that you use custom channels which you can offer to advertisers. I did so and noticed the CPC went up substantially.
Adsense actually is interested in discussing. I had a good experience 1 click , I earn US $ 2, the keywords: diet and weight loss. you must see what kind of keywords you write. you get many click , it doesn't mean you earn much money, depend on ads bidding, and depend on niche.
Entirely dependent on your niche and traffic. Your niche must be low paying, so you will not get high earnings.
