$75 Web Page Design - PSD Only - Font Media - PayPal

Another contest from me! This time its actually for my own company, rather than clients so I'll be giving feedback pretty much immediately (taking into account the time difference... I'm in Sydney).

    Ok here goes!

I work from home as a Web Designer but find very little time (or inspiration!) to focus on my own site. I built this about 18 months ago when I first started out and quite frankly its shocking! Now that I'm getting more clients, and doing a better job at building their sites, I really want a good site to display my work.

    Heres the site: http://www.fontmedia.com.au

The colours can change (in fact I'm desperate for them to change!!) but obviously the logo needs to remain as it is.

PNG copy of the logo here:

PSD Version can be downloaded here:

    http://www.fontmedia.com.au/font_media_logo.psd

I only need the PSD file here as I'm quite capable of coding - would love to check out someone elses code but for $75 I dont expect it.

This is just for the home page - the remainder of the pages (only portfolio and contact) will be designed around that (obviously!!).

The layers in the PSD need to be well labeled.

Payment will be made via PayPal as soon as the contest winner is announced. I do ALWAYS announce winners (as you can see from my iTrader) but I very rarely state a specific time for the contest to end as I always want to see what comes forward and work with that.

Fire away with any questions... and good luck!

    Rach

Hi typyngmums your website is down again so i cant see your website.A webdesign website has a lot of potential and the designs are split into two categories:safe and daring designs...so i was wondering how far are you willing to take it?

Safe designs consist in looks like:corporate, vector, web 2.0,minimalistic.
Daring designs consist in looks like:hi-tech,futuristic,grungy.

Also could you provide some websites you like so we can get a feel for what you're into.

    Thanks,
    awd

Think the server was down earleir sorry - I can access it fine now

awd: I think I'd go for the safe option as most of my clients seem to be local small businesses

I'll have a look at some websites tomorrow that I like and get back to you (just in from a girls night out at the moment!!). I'm basically looking for something clean but eyecatching.

    Thanks everyone :)

Thanks thekingofkings but its not really what I'm after - too in your face I think. I'm looking for something a lot cleaner and lighter. Thanks for giving it a go though

thanks bizzard... thats more in the direction I'd like to go :)

I'd like to see a bit more done with a header, something more eye catching. Not keen on the layered images in the header. Nice clean layout though thanks.

Check out the links to the templates I've just listed - that may give you some more ideas. I do like this one, but I dont find it eye catching.

I've received an entry via PM from cyber_demon12 and given feedback via PM too because they've requested they dont post on here due to desigins being stolen. I'm ok with this but if the winning entry is via PM I will post it here so that you can see that it is a legitimate winner. I would prefer all entries be posted within the thread but I understand peoples reasons for not wanting to do this if they have had their designs stolen previously.
