$75 Simple Homepage Design Contest

Hello All!

The design is fairly simple. It's a content site with a few articles, newsletter sign up form and a testimonial text box up top.

I was going to use this design http://andreasviklund.com/templates/1024px/ but it's missing a few things and it's missing a little life to it.

The attachment to this post shows you how I would like the website to look. So please use that template and my image to create the design.

You don't have to create anything to crazy. I'm just looking for a professional looking design that makes the visitors want to read what I wrote

The website can be all text including the header text and I would like an easy to read font, font sizes and color scheme.

If at all possible I would need the design to be ready to go when I take possession of it. If you cant code the site please still submit a design but let me know.

I am looking to have this done as soon as possible and I will pay the winner immediately through Paypal.

What would you pay for a good uncoded design?

 

If your design is uncoded but it's excellent and is just what I want
I have no problem paying the $75 for it.

Getting it coded wont cost me that much extra but it would be a
nice service to come along with the design.

@ KimKiyaa - The design looks great. In my example template I didn't mean that persons entire website template I just meant that 1024px template. http://tinyurl.com/9xhqmm

So in the design I wouldn't need a top navigation as all the links are just on the side under the training for the moment. Told you it was simple

I would also ask that you make the text bigger as it is in that template above and in the example image I attached.

@Jay2xtreme2125 - I wasn't sure about a deadline with all of the holidays but if I could have this done by the years end that would be great.

Nothing over the top please. Very simple, big easy to read text, font and a very simple color scheme. Please use that template as a key reference.

did you just download it from the example site he gave us? It looks the same as the one he provided as an example, the only thing different is you added a signup box and the javascript..even the copyright footer is the same..

i don't think its fair or if you're even allowed to download a premade layout and pass it as yours, even if you've made 1 or 2 changes to it

just my opinion

 

@ All - Thank you for telling me you're entering. Of course I'll wait.

@ Jharrvis - I don't know what you want me to say with that. Really if I wanted to use the design I would have and I would have added the newsletter code and javascript myself as that's not hard.

With me posting this as a design contest I was looking for exactly that - a new design based off what I gave you and not the exact template. Plus trying to pass it off as your own isn't right.

Are the colors alright even though its a bit different from the example template? I left the logo + text in there as mock.. unless you have something else to put there. The overall design is fairly different from the example, but I hope you still like it.

@ KimKiyaa - The colors and your design are even better now. Thank you. you were able to do what I wanted while added some life to the design. I would just like to see some of the text on that left column a little bigger including the section Header text and paragraph text but other than that it's great and is my favorite.

@ Lincius - Thank you for your entry. You missed a few things that I was looking for in my attached image but your design is good.

@ Eranet - Thank you for the entry as well. It's good just a little bit too much for what I'm looking for. The website is going to be all content and with your design the content doesn't seem to be the focal point which I need.

So far KimKiyaa's design is my favorite.
