Yup, an expensive, modified clipart, I have an account with shutterstock, $250 a month and since I bought it I can use it, want proof?

The eps there which I have cost $100, more than the ammount of the contest itself.

oh come on zepia, i thought u knew what a logo means.. it has to be completely unique.. isnt it? as its from a stock site, its the same as any other person who takes stuff from istock or shutterstock and post in the contests

The hardest part i face while doing a mascot is the actual design, not the coloring, deciding the pose and sketching is the actual part of a mascot.. am i right guys?

    Thanks

    @F33l1ngz:
I like your style, but I'd prefer a real shark mascot rather than an outline.

Sorry, the guys said no premade stuffs. And, the deadline was extended on popular demand. :)

Hmm, this is pretty good, very creative! Though Im leaning more towards your first try.

About Zepia's entry, since the clipart is pretty customized, and I REALLY like it, its still in consideration, I'll let you know what others think.. In the meanwhile, you can work on YOUR OWN mascot (not a premade) and submit it.. But don't worry, your NOT disqualified at all. :)

Keep them coming guys, there's quite a lot of time yet.

Really good, I like the first one with the briefcase, can you incorporate 'pixel' into this? I really appreciate all your work in this contest, you have great talent.. If you could incoprate 'pixel' into this somehow as well as typography, You could be leading this since We all LOVE your artwork!

Here are general feedback for all top entrants from the crew. If we haven't given feedback for your entry here, Assume that its been eliminated, but your always welcome for another try since there's quite a lot of time left still.

@Creations4You: Your logo is great, but could you incorporate blue into this? likeZepia's entry. Make the shark's body blue, also make the text bolder and more eye-catching, Plus could you add some effects to the shark teeth to make it a bit more realistic? Overall, your logo is good, so is the idea. Keep up the good work!

@Zepia: Can't think of any changes for you, But its a shame that you used a clipart, It'd really be disrespectful if we chose a premade clipart among a handful of creative artwork made from scratch. But we really like your idea, the layout/style etc. If you could come up with your own shark to replace this clipart, it would be awesome! But since we love this, its still in consideration and not eliminated.

@Phyza: We're amazed by your excellent mascot skills, keep up the great work. But we again wanted to know, is this really made by you? 100% exclusive? I mean if we bought this from you, would we be the first and only buyer of this logo? If its really by you, great work. Can't think of any changes, even though we'd like to see a version where the text is normal, like everyone's.. straight-forward direction. :)

@l3fty: Your idea is spot on, we love the grin and the laptop. But your text is something we're not fond of in your entry, make it more like Zepia's and you'd have a chance of climbing higher on the standings table. ;)

@TightWad: Your logo has the potential to be great. We'd prefer the typogaphy like Zepia's Entry, bold and proffesional looking.. We're a proffesional web designing company and we want our logo to represent this. :) What you can do is, change the typography, And try different layouts/positions for the icon.

@CameoAnderson: Your artwork are the type we fall in love with at first sight. All your entries are awesome, can't think of anything to change in your mascots.. whats missing is a great text like Zepia's, and the 'pixel' element in it.. Try those and surprise us! :D Anyway, your artwork is fascinating, keep up the great work!

Also, we'll pay you more than the prize money if we think your work is worth it, and we're thinking of awarding a second prize as well.

Good luck everyone, New entries are always welcome.
    Thanks.

I was trying for something different with the Text, that's why I incorporated the Shark's fin into it - but I understand what you're saying - probably not the place to play around with such things. I'm going to have another go at another shark pose, hopefully better looking this time. Thanks for your comments.

Don't worry, there are certain things which we would clarify and make clear before we make a decision. Phyza could you prove us that its 100% by you?
