    $75 Logo Contest 4 days

    Logo Test
    A-Access Lock & Key

    Overview
This is for my locksmith company. I have been in business for 15 years. I want a fresh look and need some help from all the awesome logo experts here. I will need a PSD and a Vector file. (Is vector for embroidery?) This will be my basis of my overall company look. I will redo my business cards/Van lettering/Shirts ... etc... Any other file I need?

Current website is http://www.accesslocksmith.net however I will be creating a new design based upon the logo so please ignore current colour schemes.

Looking for a modern, cutting edge, clean and professional looking logo. I want simple but CATCHY.

    Color Requirements
Any will do, but I like LIME green Blue White Black

    Contest Info

    $75 Paypal only
Final work must be supplied in layered PSD format and vector format

PS... Please do not use old fashioned keys and old timey stuff. I am cutting edge with computerized keys etc and want to show it...

Vector is basically just means the image can be scaled to any size without loss of quality, i.e. there are no pixels. If you're going to use this for vans then and t-shirts then I would recommend vector because color separation is easy (for shirts) and obviously a van is pretty big and you don't want some horribly pixelated image representing your company :)
*Edit* You might also want PDF files. I used to own my own T-shirt company and still do t-shirt illustration and this is the preferred format (in my experience) but I guess it depends on the company you use. It basically just keeps the vector intact but you don't need any special software like Illustrator/Photoshop to open it.

It's 100% vector. This is going to be the format you will need for most of what you want to get out of the logo. Like bakerbaker said, you can scale it up and down without losing any quality. The design can print on t-shirts, hats, decals . . . pretty much anything you want. The vector can also be converted to solid black and white for newspaper ads, signage, or whatever you'd need it for. Colors are also fully interchangeable.

    My Entry -

Concentrated on spec using Lime Green, clean & crisp design yet professional and simple.

The scale of the image can be altered keeping the quality of the image perfect.

This reads clearly as your spec states it will be used for re-branding business cards/Van lettering/Shirts...etc

    Ok a few observations...

Overall all you guys have great ideas and work!!

    dseer
It is ok, but a litle plain. Not digging the 2 colors together.

    ing-pacz
Don't really like the colors together, and it is a little to big/tall

    jtoms
So far I like yours the best. Not sure about the red, but maybe try some other color combos. Also not sure how it would look with capitol letters? It is a little hard to read if someone glanced at it. Also maybe add the "-" I am like the bottom 2 a little more

    masjacky

Love the colors. Especially the lime green. Not digging the font. Not sure on what to make of the actual logo, but it is pretty good.

    digitalmarketer
Not sure if I like the key. It is a little old fashioned. Maybe work with that a little? Also the font is a little to plain?

    sm1979
Not sure if taht is what i am going after. It is a nice design, but just does not seem to work right for me

    Cissed
Not really digging the A in the front. The Access Lock & Key is ok maybe a more lime green?

Also for everyone. If you go to my site on the banner, I like the Font/logo I have but maybe try to work with that some? I do want it different for sure, but maybe you can incorporate it?

Keep them coming guys. These are all really good and I hope you all do not take my criticism the wrong way. You all are professionals and it shows.

A little to 90's for me. Old timer lock and keyhole. I actually like it, but looking for a little more cutting edge. The colors work nicely though.
