$75 Logo Contest - Stock Market Prediction Software

Hi guys,

I've just got up here in the UK (8:00am on a Sunday morning, am I mad?!). I'm glad some of you have made the suggested changes, each of your logos is looking better all the time.

Nick252 - Although I really like the reflection web 2.0 style logo the arrow isn't reflecting correctly so maybe we'll leave out the reflections. The first one is nice. Could you possibly try it in a few other colours?

Hecky - Every entry you submit gets better. However, the calculator doesn't really give off them impression of the "fast pace" I want to show, especially since it's about spread betting (a form of investing/gambling(!) here in the UK).

sb1234 - Your logo is getting better, but it doesn't really reflect the excitement of spread betting. Could you try incorporating some more symbology? Maybe some maths symbols?

zmaja - I'm glad you joined in! This logo is fantastic. I definitely prefer the upper one, not for the red, but for the contrast of the red against the black. I would love to see it in green (see Dynamic MK's green right near the top), and maintaining the black/grey of the lettering.

Good work guys, I'm not sure how available I'll be today as I'm going out for a business lunch. I'll be able to respond around 5pm UK time. I hope this is ok!

I'm really pleased about the entries so far, keep them coming in and don't hesitate to try new ideas either - surprise me!

Also, quickly, zmaja - I've been trying out different hues on your logo in Photoshop, a green works quite well (but it looks kinda medical!) and I tried a classic yellow/gold/orange (#FFCC00 in Hex RGB) which also works well. Then I tried adding a slight hint more of orange and it looked good!

Could you try some of these colours too? I really like the logo so far.

My take on this... the second one is more inclined towards gambling...Dice with pound and euro symbols..

I simply abided the brief/instructions of our good CH wanting a chart line arrow with a dip going upwards. The general visual look of the N might have suggested parallelism.

zmaja....seriously , almost all of our designs have the zig zaggy arrow, having it in our design was a request from the contest holder, wasnt your idea to begin with

I agree, but in none of your concepts is the chart arrow used to looks like and symbolize a N, like in mine.

Hey guys,

The logos are looking great. I'm not in a position at the moment to write individual feedback, but in a few hours time I will be able to post about every design.

So far the leading designs are zmaja and coolwanz, both of which are fantastic logos.

Coolwanz, I really like the symbol on the left, it gives it a very academic and professional feel, but would it be possible to modify the font and make it a bit more interesting? It's somewhat flat at the moment. I realise that's to complement the symbol, but is there are any way you can make it more lively?

If anybody still wants to submit a new entry but doesn't have the time before the deadline in 4 hours, I'm happy to extend the contest by another 24 hours.

Thanks for all the designs so far folks, I really appreciate the effort. Thanks for making it a great competition so far!
