I'm looking for a logo design for a company that is going to be going national with their product. The name will be "Image Precast". Their theme is "our limitation is your imagination" I am open to any designs and colors for the logo. This is their OTHER site www.portugalconstruction.us you can see their logo up top right. I do not want this one to be idential to it. They need a professional logo with the name in it and somehow to releate to their "theme. If you do not know what "precast" is you can search on google or yahoo and get an idea, builders do it. I will pay $75 to the winner.
Their theme is "our limitation is your imagination" Keep submitting them and i'll let the client see them all.
Interesting approach to getting cheap (or free) work. Ever visited this site - http://www.no-spec.com/ Good reading for anyone interested in working in creatives.
I will get with the owner after the holiday and see what he likes/dislikes. And then we will go from there. Probalby will run a week or so. Payment can be made thru paypal or whatever else you need. As far as WillyBFriendly and the "Interesting approach to getting cheap (or free) work." comment. Unless i'm wrong I am allowed to post any project I want on the forums and work with whatever user I want in any project. I"m glad you obviously do not want to participate but feel the need to comment on my project. That is why I live in the U.S. and it's all about free enterprise. If you don't like my methods it's simple move on. I'm not asking for anything "free" and as far as cheap goes I have had a logo created before from a company in California for the same price. Went directly to them and did it all. So if it's cheap in regards to what your designs/methods are on your SiteFlo site then oh well.
Sorry to have offended. My post was directed more toward those that donated their efforts than to you. Free? Looks to me like you have seven or so logo variations to show to your client - at no cost. I will assume that this is a paid gig. Cheap? All relative I suppose. I was recently involved in obtaining a logo/trademark. The logo itself ran about $250, which included several preliminary designs, and then a complete change when the trademark attorney cautioned the client that the selected design would probably not pass the registration process. Total cost by the end of the process, including graphic designer, attorney and registration fees ran about $7500 if memory serves me correctly. From no-spec.com "Design contests are obviously huge gambles for the designers. They have to commit to doing a significant amount of work, and they have to do so essentially blind. Without the benefit of meeting with those putting on the contest face-to-face and gaining some in-depth insight into the project, the designers have to guess at the tastes of those in charge and just hope they do something appealing. "The thing that contest originators don’t understand, however, is that the contest model is just as much a lottery for them, too. Without meeting with the contest entrants, and seeing their past work and experiencing their personalities, the contest originators put themselves in the middle of a very risky gamble. Based simply on a submitted image, it is impossible to determine whether or not the designer has the knowledge and background to guide the project to an efficient (or even successful) conclusion... "What it boils down to is a loss of control. By running a contest, the company gives up its power to choose a designer based on talent, skill, personality and all of the other factors that make it possible to conduct business with someone. This is no more a sound business model than playing the lottery in the hopes of making a profit." (http://www.no-spec.com/?page_id=38) I agree with you whole heartedly about the free enterprise system. Hopefully we can all learn from each other so that our businesses are better, stronger and more sustainable.
