    Hey all,

I'm looking for a spinner .gif animation (can be .swf as well) for a new website. I'd be looking for an image(s) animation relating to broadband or high speed Internet as that's what the site is going to be about.

    Criteria:

    1. Any animation must be clean and professional, however creativity is still up to you, the designer (prefer a transparent background)
    2. Animation needs to be optimized for web use. No entries over 500 x 300 pixels 350KB will be accepted.
    3. Entries can be submitted as jpeg with description of animation or as gif (I would want to see full animation before winner is paid)
    4. This contest will last 72 hours (3 days from now on June 1st at 11:30 P.M. EST)
    5. $75 Payment will be made via Paypal (or snail mail if winner does not have a PayPal account)
    6. Contest winner may also be considered for logo design project & other advertising creative

Looking forward to seeing what the artists in the DP community can do! :)

Heres my 1st attempt. Yellow light travels left to right across the router. . It's not what you would usually see as a spinner but i think it fits your site idea well. Also i can send u the .gif animation through e-MAIL if you wish to see the full animation before the close of the contest. Please pm me with any feedback. Thanks

    Hi Everyone,

I appreciate all of the attempts thus far.

Skullborg: While I like your attempt and think it looks pretty cool, I feel like it looks a bit like Microsoft's Internet explorer logo, and it kind of has a clip art feel. I think because the site I'm putting together is going to be selling cutting edge high speed Internet service people would expect something more high tech and flashy. Just my opinion.

    Hi Everyone,

I appreciate all of the attempts thus far.

BHissett: I like what I see so far, a router certainly goes with high speed Internet and broadband. Is it possible to change the color or the router, or make the background transparent? I'd like to see how it's animated, I'll pm you with details.

    Hi Everyone,

I appreciate all of the attempts thus far.

Acorn7: Pretty interesting looking loader. The @ symbol certainly is synonymous with email and Internet. Oddly this one reminds me of Netscape or IE a little bit like the first one.

While I like it, I'm going for a more broadband oriented and high-tech look. As I mentioned, I do like this one too, but not as a loader. I have another project in mind that this might work for however. Is this gif grainy looking or is that just from compressing it to post in the forum?

The spinning world email logo was compressed a little but it would be an interesting project to insert it into a swf file and try and make the "world" transparent with regards to the background.
I specialise in 3D animations and could even make some sort of broadband equipment similar (spinning)
All work not used will go onto my website as broadband animations could be a good category

    Cheers

    Hi everyone,

I've picked the router from bhissett as I think it represents the look and feel we are going for. I want to thank all of your for participating in the loading animation contest.

We'll be having another contest in the near future so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Thanks again to all in the DP community who particpated.

    Warm regards,

    - DSL
