I am starting a forum posting contest on my new Webmaster Forum. The contest officially starts today March 07, 2007 and ends a month from now on April 07, 2007. The winner will be the member who has contributed the most during this period time. In order to prevent people from inflating their number of posts (with spammy posts, one-liners, thank-you posts or welcome posts), I will choose the member who has made the highest number of useful posts (interesting, helpful posts). You can start posting anytime at http://www.WebmasterGround.com to participate in this contest until it ends on April 07, 2007. The winner will be selected April 09, 2007 and the prize will be awarded on the same day. Please note that paid posters are excluded from this contest. You can track the top posters at http://www.webmasterground.com/misc.php?do=topposters Thank you all.
I have won 5 competitions for postings in recent days. But I would like to ask something about your forum. Are you going to reset all post counts to zero? Because users already have more than 40-60 posts there. Let me know
If you go to http://www.webmasterground.com/misc.php?do=topposters , you can see that I am tracking all posts made since 3/7/2007, the official date of the contest.
I am spending more than 10 hours a day on this forum. Today I got email from a member that i am following him. I have more than 100 posts than him. I feel really bad about it. I am posting here honestly. Spending lots of time not for just money but to improve my knowledge and this forum. But at the same time I would like to have some money too. I hope everyone take part in it honestly rather than just for winning. I have won another forum competition , I am glad about it.
