    Hey everyone,

I need a logo designed for http://www.elocalplumbers.com/, a directory that ranks #1 for plumbers on google. This is a great opportunity for your portfolio. Plus, if we like your design, we'll almost certainly be giving you repeat business for our other sites. Please see below.

I want the logo with a definite web 2.0 feel that looks and feels familiar. Make it clean, crisp, professional, and eye-catching.

Please take a look at the current logo to see what we have in mind - just think: better!

One twist on this is that we own several related domains and we want a logo that can be tweaked and used on all of these. (For example, we are contemplating populating the dot in our current logo with a plumber's wrench, our roofer's site (eLocalRoofers.com) with a roof, etc. This would keep the overall logo brandable, but add a unique element to each site. However, any designs need not include the dot - please feel free to experiment with your creativity.)

So for this logo, we want it to say: eLocalPlumbers.com or eLocalPLUMBERS.com (depending on the way your font of choice and design looks). Please include one unique element, as described above, that could be changed as needed for our other sites (eLocalElectricians, eLocalRoofers, etc.)

We'll definitely be giving feedback as the designs roll in! Thanks everyone and we look forward to seeing what you come up with.

The elements in the circle/box could be changed depending on your other sites content.. =)

VictoriaAnn - Nice attempt, you kept the text simple, which we liked, but we weren't a fan of the wrench, or at least its size, position, etc.

jokomamamita - very, very nice design! We like the contrast between the words and we liked the style of the 'e' in eLocal. We liked the attempt at customization with the top design (bubble), but we don't think it would scale well if we made the logo smaller. Also, we'd like something smaller, simpler, and more integrated.

tarrx3 - We really love the faucet/water drop idea taking the place of the dot in .com. We like the integration and the simplicity of the text. We have some concerns about how well we could customize it across our other domains, but the faucet/drop is a great idea.

*Also sent feedback to some who submitted via PM.

Overall Feedback: after some discussion, some general features we'd like to see:

-- 'Plumbers' should be bolder or thicker than 'eLocal'

-- We liked tarrx3's 'e' and 'com' being red and the 'Local' being black.

-- We liked 'Plumbers' in a blue (shade on the medium or dark side).

-- We weren't a fan of the gradients in most cases, we'd prefer a crisp high-res solid look. However, having a blue 'Plumbers' with a gradient was fine, to set 'Plumbers' apart from the high-res solid colors of the rest of the text.

-- We liked seeing a greyscale version of the design, so that we can get a sense of what it might look like on letterhead.

-- We liked being shown several scales of the design, so that we'll know it can scale down to a smaller size well.

For whoever we pick, we're definitely thinking this could turn into a larger opportunity, since we potentially have a large number of domains to throw your way for customization of the 'unique' part of the logo (such as the faucet/drop).

Thanks for your designs everyone. We definitely have a couple in mind that really stood out. We look forward to any new submissions or revisions!

Thanks for providing feedback. Here is the wrench close up - would you like to see it smaller or larger in your logo? The feedback didn't specify.

We're more concerned with things scaling to the smaller side.
