Hi everyone, I need 5 graphics created for my site. The winner(s) will receive up to $75 paid via paypal. Here's the test site with the template that will be used: http://personalinjuryclaims1.co.uk/templatetest/ These are all going on the same site so they should look like they're meant to be used together with regards to color scheme, fonts, etc. They should look good with the existing design and each other. If you decide to use currency symbols in your designs, keep in mind that the site is a UK based site so should use the symbol for the GBP. The graphics should be optimized for use on the web. They will not be used in print. They should be able to be resized without losing quality and I will want hex color codes so I can use them for future CSS tweaks. I will be providing ongoing feedback to entries so if you want to just do one aspect first and get my feedback on look/feel before doing others that's fine. I prefer if you post your submissions in the thread because someone else will be looking at them too but if you *REALLY*REALLY* don't want to post them publicly you can PM them to me. Please DON'T post "I'm going to enter later" messages. Please DO post if you have questions or need clarification or want to make a submission. DO NOT submit designs that don't belong to you! Ideally I want all 5 graphics done by one person so they have the same feel. However, if I don't like all 5 graphics done by a single person I reserve the right to split the award between entrants at the following rate: Logo & main sales graphic $20 each, Form background & banner - $15 each, Header/footer stripe - $5. Thanks and happy designing! I'm excited to see what you all come up with! 1 - Logo Should use the name "Personal Injury Claims". It does NOT have to be in the same style/colors as the logo that is currently on the site. That is just a place holder. The logo should be clean and professional looking. The height should be 53. 2 - Main Sales Graphic On the demo site this is the image that is on the left "Why Choose Personal Injury Claims?" The dimensions for this graphic are: 495x245. The content should stay the same but it needs a much more interesting look. The background does not have to be white so feel free to give it some color. There does need to be a "button" of some sort so people will be more likely to click. 3 - Submission Form Background The submission form on the top right is done with Contact 7. I want an eyecatching graphic background created for the form to sit on top of. it should be 290 high and fit in the existing width. 4 - Banner The banner will go above the content on the individual pages and should be the size of a standard 480 banner. It is replacing the main sales graphic on those pages so it serves the same purpose content-wise. Some animation might be ok but it should be professional looking - no flashing neon lights. 5 - Header/Footer Stripe I don't like the existing header/footer stripe. I think it's because of all of the pink. I'd like a similar stripe done using the color scheme from the graphics you design to pull it all together. It should be the same for the top and bottom. The dimensions are 881x12.
@ wwwbryan - Thanks for your submission. I don't really love the head in the logo. For some reason it creeps me out. Also, I'm not a fan of the all-blue. I'd prefer if multiple colors were used to emphasize things. Finally, on the banner, just having a button that says "click here to find out" doesn't make sense. Click there to find out what? Note to all: when designing things - particularly the banner, it would help to take a look at a single post to see the colors being used.
Here is the revised banner, sorry I didn't notice that when I created it: Also it wrecks the scheme when multiple colors are used. I agree that colorful is better, but not for designs. The goal is to keep everything consistent and that keeps it professional. Also there is a limit of only 4 images per post, hence why one image was separate from the rest.
I have updated your logo to remote the freaky head you dislike. If there is anything else I can do to win this contest let me know.
These just don't look professional to me, sorry. As far as wrecking the scheme by using multiple colors, I can give you links to millions of websites that use multiple colors in their onsite graphics and they look great so I'm going to have to disagree with you. To me sites with just a single color scheme look boring and dated unless it's handled *VERY* well.
It is very hard to convince people that have no concept of what they are doing. I doubt anyone will come up with anything better for the price, especially as it is a contest the prize should be worth more than a normal client which can go over $1000. Just giving you a heads up at how fair I am being to you. Don't give the designer lessons on how to design. If you knew what you were doing you would be working on these images yourself. So if you do not like them just say so and offer more money and ill gladly redo them for you.
