$75.00 Logo Contest - Open Source Project

We are working on releasing a new open source shopping cart system called IdeaCart. The site is not setup yet so there isn't much to work off of but we are looking for a web 2.0ish logo for the new program. It's an free open source shopping cart of online merchants. Contest pays $75.00. Paid via paypal or stormpay.

The only requirements are that it be fresh, original work with a web 2.0 look and feel. The name of the logo should be IdeaCart with new look to it. Other than that, be as creative as you want

Because the project is not live, a lot of this is going to have to be based on gut instinct and what people deliver. Our last contest for example, the winner wasn't final until the last day. Ultimately Id say watch the comments of the entries that come in.

All logos should have a white background as the final deliverable will have to include a transparent logo. Good works all!

jinsona - I see what you are doing with the "i" but it really feels like it's saying deacart.

xpressions - white background, you have too much on the logo side.

rosiee007 - second one is good, first one, i'd toss.

animator21 - nice, simple and to the point but i'd try again.

jpcesar - great work for a first design. try different colors.

sandeepramje - would try anothe color scheme and theme.

Please don't take these comments personal, every time we run a contest, someone ask for feedback and someone always takes it personal. While I accept that everyone appears to put a lot of work into their logos and work, it's all subjective. Thank you for your work and efforts.

animator21 - not much advice here, just try again I guess.

rosiee007 - lettering seems too cartoonish and logo is too unprofessional.

AddictedtoFate - Doesn't work for us

jinsona - really like your third entry, minus the bulb and upper case i. Try along this theme with something new for the icon and lower case i.

So far

1st - jpcesar with some new color schemes.

2nd - jinsona with some rework either on 1st or third.

3rd - xpressions - like the lettering but everything else needs work including a white background.

Still anyone's contest, keep it coming.
