$75.00 Logo Contest For Jeep blog

Hello,
The jeepworld logo contest will be open till this Sunday Aug 02 2009. At that point I will send everyone who entered a PM. I will send a message to the logo designer letting them know that they are still in and a pm letting them know that we won't be using there logo. For the designers that are still in they will get a pm with some changes. I want to thank everyone who entered.

While I agree they are similar they are not the same and I
have no troubles removing my design from this contest.....

 

If others are stealing logo's it is not giving you rights to do the same!

I wonder why did you remove "your" design, if you think that there is no problem?
I knew that you will remove it, so i uploaded it myself

 

I've never stolen a logo (or an concept) from another designer - I've never had to, unlike you
who admits it's perfectly ok to take ideas and better them.

Well the answer to that is quite easy: I removed it because it was too similar to that other logo you pointed out.
Despite your childish implications, I being a much better designer than you, who doesn't admittedly take inspiration
from those better then himself in countless contests, I removed it and withdrew from this contest..The CH wanted
originality and mine was too similar.

I think you got an attitude because YOU DIDN'T LIKE the fact that you GOT CAUGHT.
YOU OBVIOUSLY saw that design and did a quick one yourself based right off of it, which in my opinion would be considered total plagiarism.

If you really think that he is wrong, get off your high horse and stop calling yourself a better designer and whatnot. You don't need to keep knocking him to prove your point.

And please don't waste our time by trying to say that you actually came up with that yourself and that it just happened to be very, very similiar...

 

Hey, he just made an onest mistake..move on!
Maybe he had seen that logo a while ago, and he forgot..and when he saw this contest, the concept of the logo bumped into his head..it happens so get over it..

Sorry, I just get a little wound up when I see a designer taking shots and making (what I see as) prideful statements against another fellow designer

 

It could be an honest mistake or it could be a complete idea copy...No one will know but him. So the only one judging on the design should be the contest host.

in my opinion I wouldn't buy it because if jeep world got extremely popular and used that logo the people who own the other jeep logo that looks similar will most likely sue the shit out if him...its just the way things go.

So either he did steal the concept or it was a honest mistake...either way its up to the contest host to make the decisions.
