Logo Design Brief I need a logo design for a new UK based company, myPostPal, which aims to solve the common frustrations associated with traditional postal methods - by providing an online service whereby customers can receive all of their traditional physical post in a digital format (‘Digital Post’), which can be viewed anywhere and anytime. This service aims at being a Personal Assistant for your post, by helping you keep your mail organised and making the whole process easier. What we are trying to convey: The final design should attempt to communicate trust, exclusivity (i.e. a personal assistant'), convenience and simplicity. I'd like emphasis on the PostPal' part of myPostPal, but only if you think this works better. Please see guide below for further info: Type: Preferably with a pictorial (or abstract) mark. Color: 2 color is preferred, should be effective in both black and white as well as color (if it could later look good layered ontop of various textures then that would be great). Delivery Options: All logos should be done in vector form preferably adobe illustrator or photoshop (and I'd like to get these files from the winner). Sorry guys, no Wordart/ clipart or anything - otherwise I'd do it myself! Also, if your entry is chosen you will be asked to supply the source file (.ai/.psd file) as well as any fonts you may have used. Some logos that we like are shown below: NOTES: For the sake of preventing any issues, please note: - I retain the right to not accept any entries at the end of this contest,, although in all likelyhood I will probably raise the prize money if designs of insufficient quality come through. - if your entry is chosen you may be ask to do tweaks and corrections as needed. (within reason) Looking forward to seeing your designs - sorry I can’t offer more money guys, I don’t have much at this stage sorry, I'm but a mere student!
Guys, thanks very much for all of your efforts - some great designs in there. Some feedback (although not that this is just my feedback, obviously by the nature of these things different people will have different opinions). I've been flat out over the last few days and haven't had a chance to follow up on the designs submitted already. The 72 hours is nearly up, so i'll quickly provide some feedback for those already submitted, please note comments below: @Animman: Looks innovative, polished and aesthetically nice - unfortunately the saily thing strays a bit from the business idea and i'm concerned that it may not look very good in black and white or overlayed onto textures... @Florin: Sorry, but unfortunately not a fan of the font and the overall alignment of the logo. (not professional enough) @biscuitdnz: I think the overall asthetic and the placement of the subtext 'your personal post assistant' is great. I am just really not a fan of the @sign and the letter, which i think takes away from mthe otherwise potentially great design (i'm looking for a more unique, classy looking logo that could be used on an app or something - although, granted i wouldn't expect detailed graphic design for the amount i've offered!) @frikusha: my favorite so far as it's minimalist, professional and looks great in black and white (and i like the small 'my')- i'd just like to see if you could possibly change (a) capitalization of the P's in the post pal (and the subsequent rearrangement of the logo and 'my'); and (b) are you able to do any easy tweaks of the logo to make it look 'warmer' and more distinctive whilst still fitting into the overall aesthetics of your design - i.e. in its current square form it looks quite harsh (it could be just me?) @SGDESIGNS: I like what you've endeavored to do and that you were showing innovation but the general layout and colour scheme of the logo is not really what i'm after, sorry (the logo it too big and loud and intrusive in the overall design). @Mrphotoshop90: I like the modern feel of the font and the general arrangement, but the my in the letter may create problems in something like an App logo and the logo isn't really distinctive enough, sorry. So, in summary, i'm almost ready to choose the winner, I'd just like to see a few more tweaks (sorry if I'm being a pain in the ar*se for anyone!) Note: Main thing lacking from all the designs is a innovative, unique (simple and warm) logo. Thanks again guys! I'll update you on a winner in a few hours. Tim
