I am back with another contest and this one is only 48 HOURS. I need a new logo designed for DegreeBoom[dot]com. This site is all about college and adult education. I need something web 2.0 and brandable with a glossy look but also very clean and professional. I am not looking for clip art or simple text logos. I can do those myself. LOGO MUST MATCH COLOR SCHEME OF CURRENT SITE!!! Payment will be made via paypal following the contest end.

    WEBSITE: DEGREEBOOM[DOT]COM
COLORS: MUST MATCH COLOR SCHEME OF SITE!
    SIZE: 320x60

CONTEST END: CONTEST ENDS 5PM PST 5/21
    PAYMENT: $30 VIA PAYPAL

Remember I ALWAYS pay my winners and most of the time I annouce a runner up prize as well so get those entries coming. Thank you!

If not the clip art or text logo, then can you suggest what exactly you are looking for? Rather than telling us what you are not looking for....

    3D Logo? Vector?

Sorry. I am looking for something like I had made for my websites DegreeFlash[dot]com and DegreeJump[dot]com. I am looking for creativity and a unique brandable logo.

If you're asking this then you shouldn't be considered a logo designer...

I once read an article on the web that went in depth to what exactly should go into a logo however I can't seem to find it anymore. Visit the link below to visit a site that touches briefly on what should go into a logo however, the article does not cover much.

    http://www.truenorthe.com/blog/2009/07/what-goes-into-a-logo/

With that being said, if you're designing a logo you most defiantly shouldn't be using clipart in your designs. All logos should be vector based in case the client wants to go to print in the future.

@wes1der - I am working on a design now and will send it over via PM shortly.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I was just making it easier for the client. As you can see from my entry, it is completely vector based.
