I think the title summarize it all.. I was able to caputure about 11 email leads and 6 of them verified their email accout. (I'm using aweber).. I know testing is the key but somehow I think I miss the system... So my main question is anyone know any web site that provides coaching on tweaking sales letter to capture better leads and sales.. ( with affortable prices for beginners..) Thanks..
It's hard to say because you didn't mention the subject of the site, and certain bits of advice are only appropriate for certain niches. However... copyblogger.com is really on-point for copy improvement strategies. Copywriter Michel Fortin - michelfortin.com - also has an abundance of great articles. Good luck!
Does your ad text tell the customer to buy? If not you need to have your ad text tell the customer to do what you want them to do, and repeat it on your landing page. This will drive your costs down and your profits up!
In the ads, I said they will be getting free tips and they need to opt into before shown to the sales letter.. CTR for the ads is about 2.6% and the opt in rate is 20% as well.. just no conversion.. Is the figure good for a beginner?
Hi, Seems that the problem is not the sales letter or copywriting, perhaps there's little or no market demand for your product? Spending $60 and not a single sales is worrying. I suggest you to stop the campaign immediately and do some market research.
So your customers are under the impression they will get free tips.... I would remove the word free from the ad. Free seems to imply that no money is required... Steer clear from free whenever possible.
I learned a good deal about sales letters from Yanik Silver and Jim Edwards from 33 Days to Online Profits.com. That was a couple of years ago, but I am sure the same time-tested sales letter techniques apply. Dan Kennedy is also a sales letter genius. He has a soft back book you can get at Barnes and Noble. On your ads, if you are using a one page, opt in or leave technique, be careful that you don't get Google Slapped ($5 & $10 min bids). If you increase you landing page quality score (quality score does not only apply to ad wording), the required minimum bid goes way down. Some non-published quality factors include the whole site: having several pages, privacy policy, and having other links users can click to if he/she choses to. I would suggest offering a free downloadable pdf report in exchange for the opt in. Make sure you get full names and addresses. You can always send postcards as another touch medium. If you travel packages are over $100, which I am sure they are, the lead time on closing will be a lot higher. You need multiple follow ups and a reason to act before a certain date. Try to get a lot more clicks for less money. Keep the keywords that are converting at a lower to medium cost per conversion (making sure they still have a high enough volume). Travel is becoming a competitive industry online, you are going to have to pull out all the stops.
Give the user an incentive for them to give you an opt-in. After this, just send your report to them and build a reputation. If you are paying THAT much for the clicks, you need to have them as your customers for a LONG time. Usually people would much rather sell to the traffic up-front. Learn from Dan Kennedy and Yanik Silver. They are the kings of salesletters -- there are also many salesletter generators out there, use them -- hope this helps. seostew, I gave you some green rep.
