GrAveTzT your thread makes me sad :(

I've noticed the same thing with my sites - the more clicks im getting the less money im making. Like other ppl have said, arcade sites have really low payouts, so why dont you try other PPC networks and affiliate marketing (CPA & leads).

If you're in this business to make money and you see after a certain amount of time you are not making any money, you have to concentrate your efforts on another website/niche. Dont let Adsense dissappoint you because the experience you've got in increasing your traffic will be valuable when you start some other time. The most difficult thing is to let go and open yourself to other opportunities.

let go huh. But adsense is so simple, I fear the change.

At this point I'm almost ready to get rid of the adsense and sell the space to some lucky dp member who wouldn't mind the pr 4 with with 800 clicks in their site for the month.

I just don't really want to give up on google without a payment yet. I've been with them for long enough and I value the chance of my very first check by google.

    no kidding about that.

They used to send me e-mails that said "use adsense to payoff your home morgage quick.".

    So much for that idea.

So how can I research into how high clicks from certian keywords will be?

This is terrible! I have a jokes site and is a low paying niche but not this low!

Time to find another method of income.

I would never ever pay 10 to 20 cents for clicks on arcade and similar entertainment sites in the Google's Content Network! Why? The target audience, that is mostly teens or unemployed grown-ups, don't really have money to spend on anything. Most of them can't even pay using a credit card. I can't sell them anything so why should I pay 10 or 20 cents per click unless I wanted to lose money? Think about it. The only advertisers who distribute their ads all over those entertainment sites are those trying out something. I don't think that there are *many* serious advertisers running long-term campaigns and paying more than 5 cents per click.

That said, turnkey sites, especially such arcade sites, are for nothing. You should have known this before because thousands of people tell you this every singly day in this forum. Don't listen to the noobs, but to those who understand their "AdSense" business. Period.

yeah dont bother about how much you got per click but consider how could you get more traffic to increase that 0.71$ you got 10x more visitor you got 10 times more clicks and money. ^^

I would try Commission Junction, and selling a few sitewide text link ads.

Filter out the junk ad's! You can do this under you adsense setup tab. DON'T CLICK YOUR ADS But type in the link at the bottom in a new window, chances are if the site is using adsense as well they are not paying very much!
Let me know if you need anymore info!

I have over 500 sites filtered. That's not the solution. It didn't change a thing.

And about the traffic. I don't want to blast my bandwidth up for an extra 20 cents a day. I wouldn't mind blasting it with a better return than that.

I've been messing with the ads now. It's time to do some tests.

Have you tried using channels and turning your channels into "ad placements"

    https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...&sourceid=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link

This lets potential advertisers see a blurb about what your site is about, I use the space to give tips on what types of ads might work good on different pages to get more targetable traffic to the site.

Another suggestion, might be to use a service like ReviewMe, PayPerPost, or Blogsvertise. People using these services may ask you to reviews of their games on your site and they will pay you for it.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Gravetzt, how many adsense ads have you actually got on your site? One of the reasons you only get 1cent per click is because you have to many adverts. The less amount of adverts you have on your site the higher the payout will be. Give it a try.

    You're not listening!

The amount of time you'll spend to get your first check won't be worth it at the end! Being stubborn is not going to get you far. If you use your experience of driving traffic, im sure you'll do better with another site on a different topic.

The ball is in your hands - upto you now!

exactly. arcade sites are self-generating. if you have quite a bit of hosting, make a few arcade sites. I have 2 right now and I'm happy. 3$ a day = 100 a month, just by uploading a bunch of stuff once and using 1gb of space. :) LOVELY.

Arcade sites suck, its true. So do Video, Music, and a bunch of others.

and uhhh, GrAveTzT how do you have over 500sites filtered when google only allows 200? hmmm

The 2 referral and link ad are new from today from me trying to figure out a way to get more from it than the horrible price I'm getting.

Ok, it's a overexaduration. Over 100 for sure though.

I know. I can't help it. I don't wanna start over and just hope that I pick a better niche. I'm starting something this weekend and hopfully it'll return differantly than this site.

Maybe starting a couple of arcades is the only way.

Adsense is only profitable with some niches, and arcadegames is not one of them.

arcade sites do well with YPN I dont know about now but back then people were making $XXXX a month.

I had my arcade site with adsense and i killed it because it wasnt making jack even though it had good traffic.

You might want to look into CPM networks like CPX but then again when the site starts eating bandwidth you wont make any profit since CPM ads only pay so much that you will only cover your costs.
