Hi again all, Again, thank you for all new entries and revisions. I have less time to post all individual feedback tonight, sorry. As the contest is hotting up now, I'd like to post all positive findings, and quick pointers to those I feel are on the right track. Others I don't have time to mention, feel free to take this on board to perhaps revise your logo. We have established that I think a separate graphic element and then the text is the way forward. My favourite GRAPHIC elements from the logos so far are from: Ploomer - I still like the simplicity of your graphic. I have had feedback from others though (I have had as many people as I can view this thread for their opinions) that the graphic may be read as a U and a H instead of a W and a H. Rather than have the straight line as the cut off where it is, would it be possible to do a quick gradient between the colours, or can you come up with another idea that may help? As mentioned earlier I also like your very thin graphite line that is placed between your logo and text. The text however I think needs a change. Please see below... DrDesigner - A late entry, but the feedback I have had from your graphic element has been good, if slightly mixed. Most like it, whilst some have said they didn't. When asked why though they couldn't really say. They mentioned it looking heavy/blocky or too black. Not a lot of help, sorry. Can this be polished at all (lighting/shading?)? logorice - The graphic element on your latest revision in nice and different. I like, and can see, the W and the H in there fine (although others have said they didn't see this and thought it was a floppy disk!). I'm unsure of the thick grey circle around the graphic however. Maybe without it, or with a thinner kind of line? Again, I'll leave this up to you. Also, again, a polish up of the graphic (some light/shadow etc...) might be nice. I also think that the text needs to be lower case and the format changed slightly. Please see below. My favourite TEXT elements from the logos so far are from: DrDesigner - I think your text in the logo looks fine. I think the colours fit well and I like the fact you have not left a space between the words, but capitalised them. The different colours of the words also negates the need for the space. The subtle mirroring is nice too. Jokomamamita - I like your text layout, and two tone colours (with the arc, not just a straight line), and I think that it fits in well with the web site. (I'm afraid I'm not taken on the graphical element again, sorry). Please remember, the colour of the text is very important too, and I think the above examples show this... Like I said before, the feedback above is for everybodyto work with, not just feedback aimed at individual designers this time, so feel free for everybody to use it. If there is anybody who feels they would like/need individual feedback on their logo, please let me know (even after the contest has ended) and I will give it when I can... One last thing, I have received entries via PM, and I'm unsure how to go about reviewing them for the benefit of everybody. I may contact any new entries that I get via PM and ask them to post to the thread only. Thank you all again.
