This contest thread was created a long time ago for one of my clients.

 

You didn't say the deminisions that you wanted the logo to be, but looking at your website the current white background is 298px × 131px, is that the size you are wanting for the logo?

 

Yes, it should fit that dimension. I do apologize for leaving that out.

However, be sure to make the logo in high quality. I want to be able to make it alot bigger while retaining its quality.

 

Yes, I'll actually create a huge mockup that way you can scale down. Scaling down is easier and creates a higher quality look rather then scaling up which makes it pixelated. I'll post my design up tomorrow.

Here is my feedback for the people who have posted entires so far:

Biruhato:

Your design isn't bad. But it doesn't match the website. The coloring needs to be changed. I like the way it is organized. Maybe make the font a bit more thinker. Definately change the color all round. In addition, the little design in the back, take it off, and try to work with a van design. Something along the lines of this: http://www.quickieservices.com/bison.jpg (note: I'm not saying that everyone should take this into consideration. I would simply like to see it done from this designer.

Its a good shot. I have to be honest though, I don't like the big Q logo. It doesn't mean anything to the business. No target to what the business does or what it stands for. It would not look good on a big service van.

I like the simple part, but I don't see how this can be the cover of a auto mobile business. I don't think it would even look good on the website. I would definately recommend it for a website based site maybe, but it will not do for the business I am working with. Thank you for your entry.

Hello, Thank you for the entry, however the design is way to simple. By that I mean, its a basic font with two lines. Its a good logo, but I just don't feel like it is for a automobile service company. It is a bit to ordinary.

It looks good, but I don't understand what the design under the name and slogan is. Please take it out and try out another graphic image or design with the text. Also, be sure to make the color fit the site.

I like this design, especially the one on the site. If you don't mind, upload the image, super sized so I can get a feel of it. Make it the same design thats on the site. In addition, if you can please upload a larger image of it on the site. If you must, but your copyright on it, but I would advise not to so I can get a better feel for it. Also, implement it on a truck like some of the contestants did above. I have no revisions on the logo for now.

You are definately getting a general idea of what a corporate logo should look like, but I feel that the design you created it not in the now. Also, the design would not match the website. I simply want people who look at the logo for this business, to look at it and know that this is a business that keeps itself up to date, even on its designs. The design you posted looks a bit old fashion.

The name is Quickie Services. (this is the business name. Can not be changed.) The logo is a bit to simple. Thank you for your entry.

The logo design is okay, however I don't like the big S. What is it supposed to stand for? If you would like, do try to make a new logo based on a few of the comments above.

I like it, but I feel you can do so much better. I say this because you have a bit of creativity in the design. I would not choose this design as the winner, as it is to simple, and don't feel it would look good on the site or service van. Checkout the advice I posted for Biruhato and try that and take a look at Sandeepramje's design entry. If anything, I would like to see a new concept, with more creativity, that would match the site and look good on a service van.

The color doesn't go with the website, and is way to techie. It would not look good too pro on media prints or on a service van. Thanks for trying.
